Very comfortable and easy to live in with parquetry floors, large livings areas and sunlit, modern kitchen. There are 2 large separate living areas, both with gas fireplaces.
The bathroom and 3 bedrooms are on the first floor. The room for rent is furnished with a single bed, desk, clothes rack, cupboard and bedside table. It looks out over the back garden and is a bright, sunny room.
There is a separate toilet with wash basin downstairs.
Fully furnished, your bed will always be made up with fresh, crisp linen and towels. Heaters, fans, extra blankets also supplied - whatever is needed to make your stay as 'home away from home' as possible!
Scrumptious breakfast is included (self-serve) : Selection of cereals, eggs, organic yoghurt, toast & jams etc. herbal and blended teas, fair trade fresh-roasted coffee or hot chocolate!!
Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, blender, juicer, microwave, washer, and all modern appliances.
The front living room is equipped with plasma TV/DVD.
Wireless internet throughout. Please ask for code on arrival.
The leafy back garden has a gas BBQ and outdoor table setting for 6.
We are very close to many golf courses, beaches (& diving!), open-air 50m swimming pools and the beautiful Centennial Parklands are at our doorstep.
Besides being walking distance from Sydney's city centre, Opera House & Harbour and beautiful inner suburbs, the great benefit of our place is the proximity to bus, train and air transport so you can easily explore fabulous Sydney & beaches, the outer regions or even interstate.

Abi and her daughter made me feel very welcome.
The neighborhood is a bit sketchy but I did not go out at night. Walking around during the day was fine.
This was my first Air Bnb experience and I learned that I should ask more questions before making a commitment. The accomodations were clean and lovely but probably more suited to a college student on a back packing trip. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and the internet was non existent except for the most basic functions on (website hidden). Also, the listing said their were two TV's and their were none. The listing should be updated to reflect that there are no TV's.
I appreciated the cleanliness of the home and the breakfast choices were great!
Abi has things down and leaves a comprehensive note in the room about where things are, where you are and how to get around. This was most helpful.
I'm sorry to hear that you found the bed uncomfortable - that is honestly the first time a guest has mentioned that to me! And I know there were some internet difficulties on one of the days that you were here, however I did get onto that straight away with the provider, and they had that sorted for me during the day, so I'm confident the issue was only a temporary one. And duly noted about the TV, I actually took it out of the single room recently, as it literally had never been turned on once. Like I mentioned, there is a tv downstairs, in the living room, however that room was booked during your stay and my apologies that you weren't able to access it. My experience with guests in the past couple of years is that they don't watch tv whilst staying here, however I do thank you for your feedback, and will update the listing and let guests know in advance if the tv is available or not when bookings come in. Warmest regards, Abi
Abi and her daughter were very nice. The neighborhood was close to buses and near several cafes. The room is small, but covers your essential needs. The bathroom is next to the room. The breakfast items she provides are good and enough to get your day started. I enjoyed my stay aside from a couple of hiccups: 1) I was addressed about waking up the house when I got home late night once. I didn't want to, but had to ring the doorbell (twice) after struggling to open the door with the key, which I had issues with each time I tried to get in (no one ever came to the door, but I eventually I got it open). The next morning, I was told I woke them up- even after I apologized, she seemed unsympathetic of me struggling to get the door open while (sober and) alone late at night. 2) On my last day, I was asked to leave an hour early before the stated check out because she's selling the house and buyers were coming by. I received a note from her the night before. I hadn't been notified BEFORE coming/registering that this could possibly happen - everyone (including her other guests, her and her daughter) had to get out with all of my belongings. We were all very nice and polite to each other, but I can honestly say this is the first time I felt 'in the way' while staying with an AibBnB host.
I was more than welcome in this hosts home. I arrived at a time when the house was a bit chaotic, however the host found the time to welcome and orient me. My living quarters were very comfortable and the neighborhood was the kind I'd like to find myself in every time I away. All in all, a very nice stay that I would recommend to anyone.
I had a wonderful time staying at Abi's. The house is beautiful and in a lovely location not far from the city centre. Her and her daughter were really friendly hosts and full of local knowledge and the best places to visit.
I was left to myself and able to relax, which was great when recovering from jet lag after a 25 hour flight!
I would recommend Abi and this room to anyone.
Abi was a wonderful host and I had a lovely time staying in her beautiful home. The room was comfortable with a great decor, and the location was close to everything I could need during my stay. The provided fan worked well to deal with the heat, and the facilities were excellent. The free breakfasts foods was a very sweet addition that I definitely appreciated. I enjoyed talking to Abi and would highly recommend her as a host!

My daughter India (19) and I moved back to Sydney from Paris 7 years ago after spending a number of years over there. I worked in the film industry & in events & communications for many years but have since returned to uni full-time studing political science.
We absolutely love all that Sydney has to offer but love travelling overseas and discovering new places just as much !! We try and holiday whenever our study and budget permits!
In 2012/3 we both travelled to Morocco for 8 weeks: me to intern with an NGO working to strengthen the country's democratic processes, whilst my daughter volunteered on a humanitarian project for 2 weeks before we both explored Egypt for several weeks afterwards. Earlier in 2014 I spent a month living in Jordan and grappling with yet another dialect of Arabic!, whilst my daughter has been travelling all over Europe on her gap year since May.
We love animals & have 2 beautiful tabby cats named Diego & Mani.
In my spare time from study, I love to read, catch a foreign movie at any number of the arthouse cinemas nearby, ride to the beach or catch up with friends at the local wine bars & (website hidden) & baking is an absolute passion, as you know doubt will see if you get to spend time in our house, the kitchen is filled with cookbooks and cooking mags and an assortment of odd appliances to get the creative culinary juices flowing.
