Share our amazing home with Kona Ocean Views, 600 sq. ft. outdoor lanai, directly off 1000 sq. ft. Great room. Double Murphy bed, super comfortable and relaxed atmosphere, separate bathroom, 2 person maximum.
1.5 miles to town, restaurants, beaches, swimming, snorkeling. Rental car is recommended for getting around the Big Island, off-street parking. Non-smoking, no pets, Continental Breakfast provided.
We can recommend great oceanfront establishments for happy hour, nightly dining/dancing pleasure, or coastal resorts or restaurants. We have two National Parks on our island, Place of Refuge, about 20 miles south or the Volcano, about 90 miles around South Point. Our neighborhood has a 10pm curfew, but town stays alive up to 2am with taxi service available. We're pretty mellow, cocktails mandatory for sunset!
If you like to swim, our local pier has amazing underworld life, like these frequent visiting dolphins, out past the 1500 meter buoy! (sometimes closer) Some of the world's best snorkeling is also right here in Kona, beware of the coral and help protect it! Hiking is available nearby at Hualailai Crater. We welcome athletes of any level and have secure area for your bike! Sailing or fishing referrals also available, come enjoy all that Kona has to offer at Hale Hana Le'a!
Shared living room and lanai, morning continental breakfast in the dining area or out on the lanai. Kitchen privileges at breakfast only.
We live and work in Kona, and from our home office, relaxing in the evenings. Most guests are out and about enjoying our island after breakfast and are home in the evening to relax and sleep.
Nice and quiet neighborhood, guests have some of their best sleep here!
A rental car is recommended, we have extra parking at bottom of driveway.

I stayed at Sheryl and Joey's during the Ironman World Championship week, which is generally the craziest time of year in Kona. The fact that they were accommodating of this stressed out athlete, all her gear, and her husband (who arrived later)--and beyond that were enthusiastic volunteers for the race--goes to show what great hosts they are, and how they care for their community. Whenever I was at the house it was enjoyable to catch up with them and I learned something about the local scene every time. It was easy to communicate with Sheryl for the duration of our stay, even when everyone was out and about. Staying with them truly felt like having a home away from home, and I only wish we had had more time to relax and enjoy the view from the house, and all that the Island has to offer also. Thanks for making us feel so welcome!
Sheryl and Joey were fabulous hosts! So down to earth and funloving gentle souls =) Sheryl was so kind as to wait up late for us since we were driving in from Mauna Kea/Hilo the night we arrived. I'd certainly recommend this place to anyone! Gorgeous views from the lanaii and wonderful breakfast. You made us feel at home =) Mahalo!
