About this listing

Eastside: We fell in love with and purchased this mid-century remodel in 2008. After living in different neighborhoods around Austin my whole life, I have to say East is my favorite! It's the most fun, multi-cultural, artistic and convenient location. It's about a ten minute drive, 15 min bike ride, and 20-30 min bus ride downtown. Amazing restaurants, art galleries, farms and farmers markets, bars and live music venues, coffee shops and even the good grocery store are all less than a ten minute drive away.
The house: This is a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom home. The home has original wooden floors, granite countertops, stainless steal appliances, flatscreen television, blu-ray player, WiFi access, a dining room addition, as well as a giant 320sqft back deck and enclosed yard. There's a small shared bathroom with a single sink and full size bathtub. The 1st bedroom has a queen size bed. The second bedroom normally has a twin size bed but can have a queen size blow up mattress instead if needed. Both beds will be dressed with fresh linens and you will be provided with fresh clean towels. There is also a washer/dryer you are more than welcome to use.
Pet allergies: Our dog will be taken with us during your stay
As I mentioned, I have a bit of experience in the Austin area. I would be happy to offer tips in regard to restaurants, the festival and getting around, directions, bars, etc..
Also** Fresh towels & linens are provided, but most toiletries are not. Please come prepared with all of your own personal care items. The kitchen is stocked with cooking essentials such as pots, pans, baking dishes, toaster & microwave. Feel free to use the fridge for your groceries.
Thanks for looking and please feel free to email me with any questions you might have.
Clarisse and Julia were great, and so was their place! We were in town for a few days for an event not far away on E. 12th street and their cool and cozy house was in the perfect location for all the back and forth. They were very generous... provided towels, washer/dryer, snacks and beer and espresso for their machine. We had a great time in Austin, much due to the sweet place we got to stay in. Unfortunately we couldn't use the fire pit and smoker because of the storms, but if the weather was better we would have been out back most of the time. Half the reason I picked their place was for the huge screened-in porch and great backyard setup. The neighbors were super friendly with lots of stuff nearby. Clarisse and Julia were also awesome enough to mail me the clothes that I accidentally left in their dryer. Definitely recommend them and their place!
Julia and Clarissa where cool and fun hosts. They helped us a lot and gave useful tips and tricks for Austin. Bus is right outside the house if you want to go downtown. Would recommend a car for trips outside the City center. Room and house is so cute and the dogs are lovely. Would recommend!
