  • Very comfy little home for two, with more than usual thought put into kitchen (lots of coffee, vegan sugar, olive oil, even paper towels and napkins) and bath provisions . Beds were comfortable, adequate furniture, good shower and hot water.
Neighborhood and outside area not the most attractive, but we had no problems.
Well-situated within the city (Trader Joe's not far away).

  • Our month long stay at Celia's Cheerful Casita was great! The casita was exactly like it was described on airbnb, roomy & clean, and Celia was such a friendly and helpful host. Her on-site colleague, Angel, greeted us, showed us around the casita, helped us understand the tv, Netflix and internet set up and made sure we had a new 5 gallon jug of water and a second set of keys. Celia and Angel had quite generously stocked the casita with everything we could need to set up housekeeping/vacationing for a month. We were able to shop for groceries and find places to eat fairly close. The washer and dryer worked great and the laundry soap was even provided! The neighborhood was safe and quiet and the neighbors were friendly. It was a terrific place for us and we have already booked a month for next year! Thank you for a wonderful stay

  • Wonderful casita! Clean and comfortable. The manager was very helpful and friendly, responding to us immediately. The neighbors were friendly too. I'd definitely stay here again!

  • What a cute place! Celia accommodated a last minute request for in-laws to stay, and even brought coffee and fresh fruit. Spacious for two people, very charming, and highly recommended.

  • Celia's Casita was a great respite after 7 days on the road and camping. The little house was well equipped, wireless service worked well, and was nice to kick back and watch a movie on the Netflix Service on the flat screen. She had lots of information regarding what Tucson has to offer including restaurants and menus Celia's little place was a steal for the price and we'd be happy to stay there again if we return to Tucson.

For guests interested in astronomy, we highly suggest an evening with the UofA Mt. Lemmon Sky Center - we're not astronomers, and they put on an incredible presentation allowing us to view heavenly bodies from their powerful telescopes in their active observatory and learning center at 9100 feet.
For good authentic (inexpensive) Mexican cuisine, go to South Tucson around South 4th (St. or Ave?) . We ate at Crossroads at the recommendation of locals, but there are many others to choose from. Mi Nikidas, Eldorado ...

  • Beautifully appointed and very cheerful casita right in the heart of Tucson. As are the helpful neighbours and host. Will return.

  • I had a fantastic experience at this casita. It is exactly as the pictures say and Celia was fantastic when I spoke with her prior to my arrival. When I arrived the onsite manager met me and was available to help and answer questions throughout my stay. The neighbors were friendly and quiet. I would absolutely stay here again!

  • I was pleasantly surprised by the size of Celia's casita. I stayed in a Tucson casita last year but Cheerful Casita is really a one-bedroom house. It's spacious, bright, comfortable, clean – and cool – and well situated in Tucson: easy access to the main corridors. I enjoyed the incredible Tucson summer globs of whipped cream clouds and sunsets from the quiet comfort of the porch. Altogether an incredible bargain for a great place to stay.

Celia was very welcoming, despite my late evening arrival. The bounteous bowl of fruit, along with the coffee and tea, were nice added touches. Angel, her onsite manager, was very helpful when I encountered problems with accessing Netflix. At first I missed having a TV connection, especially for the news, but I soon adjusted to getting that info from the computer. I seldom go to movies but with Netflix I saw more movies and documentaries than I have in at least the last four years. So not having TV per se, but having Netflix, turned out to be a plus.

I stayed at Cheerful Casita for approximately a week and a half and can recommend it without reservation. Thanks, Celia!

  • The casita I rented is a fantastic bargain--spacious, bright, airy, and cheerfully decorated. It contains virtually every amenity one could hope for. And it costs less than most of the motels in town. The location is excellent and the neighbors are quiet. The owner is very friendly and the onsite manager quite attentive and personable. I could not have been more satisfied with Las Casitas Contentas and only wish I had stayed longer.
