  • Des and Sinead were the best hosts we have ever had! They were as friendly as Irish/Scottish people come. They were always ready for us and took absolute great care of us during our stay. They made us feel right at home and their dogs were absolute angels (: Definitely recommended, we would come back and stay with them again.

  • I was able to stay with Des and Sinead on my way into Ireland and on my way home to the US. They are the kind of people I wish were in my life every day. They are both so very easy to be around and so incredibly welcoming. When you are in their home, it's your home. They are generous, helpful, and kind. I stayed in 2 rooms on my 2 stays and I loved them both! Lovely decor and nice, hot showers! The home is very clean and the breakfasts are filling - ALWAYS plenty of hot coffee or tea.

Their home is not far to Dublin City Center by bus (and short walk to bus stop.) The bus ride itself is lovely, if you can sit upstairs, do so. Plenty of wonderful old churches to peek at as you ride.

If they encourage you to order food from the nearby take-away, DO IT! The food is delicious and very affordable. (Seriously, made my last night in Ireland even better!)

They aren't kidding when they say they'll pick you up at the airport. Every pick-up/drop-off was so easy and fast! Definitely take them up on it - 5 Euros is a smashing deal for the service!

I'm so glad I get to stay in touch with them on (website hidden) - Des, Sinead, Timmy, and Coney made me feel so very welcome - not a care in the world in their lovely home. I hope I can go back soon!! They are absolutely the best!

  • Exceptional stays (yes, we stayed with them twice). Des and Sinead were wonderful hosts - friendly, full of advice and suggestions for what to do and see, and how to go about doing so. They made our stay a pleasure, and could not do enough for us. Highly recommend staying here. We did so twice and look forward to repeat visits!

  • Absolutely faultless. Des and Sinead are the ultimate hosts, polite, professional, supremely efficient and exceptionally friendly. Their home is immaculate, spacious, quiet, and conveniently located for buses to Dublin and the airport . Sinead had change for the bus, printed out timetables , with their address on, just in case, spare chargers for the phone, and they both always had a smile, plenty to chat about, and fabulous cups of tea and coffee.

  • I don't remember having nicer hosts. The bed and the room were great. The tea was delicious. The location was very good. I got precise directions and other information from Des and Sinead was most welcoming. The short time spent there was a pleasure. Thanks to both of you.

  • There is not much I can share that has not already been said. except they treated me like Family while I was there. I am a 77 year old man, when they took me to the airport, they walked me in to make sure everything went right. Thanks Des and sinead for a cup of tea and a great visit.. When I come back to Ireland I know where I will be staying. I will recommend there house to anyone. Des and Sinead you are the greatest.

  • Like the other reviewers, I can only highly recommend this accomodation. Des and Sinead are an exceedingly friendly and helpful family. They did everything to get us to Dublin. Des drove three times to the bus stop and back to get us to the bus, because we had a disabled person with us. He even proposed to take us to Dublin City by car, but I didn't want him to waste his time. Sinead prepared a delicious breakfast for us every morning with eggs and cereals. The rooms are clean and in good style. The house is in a quiet residential complex with nearly no traffic and a childrens playground direct in front of the house. To get to Dublin by bus is easy and costs 2.80 Eur one way per person. The bus stop is 5 to 10 min to walk and it takes 30 min to get into Dublin City. But be sure you have enough small change, as the bus drivers do not accept bank notes and you also don't get any change. All in all we had a great time with Des&Sinead and next time we're in Dublin we'll of course stay with them again.

  • Des and Sinead are Airbnb ROCKSTARS and set the bar high! I've yet to have better hosts. They are very friendly, accommodating, and fun. And their two little doggies are a hoot.

I contacted them last minute, Sinead scooped me up at the airport, no problem. Des got me lined out on the bus to Dublin, even took me to the bus station, armed with a map, a schedule and when to hop off.

The room and place was spotless and very comfortable. In the morning there was coffee, tea, cereal, bagels and more. Des donned an apron and was cooking up a storm. I'm sad that I had to leave before I got a chance to enjoy his breakfast culinary creation.

I've already booked my room for my return trip to Dublin!

Great hosts and I look forward to visiting them again at the end of my trip.

    Thanks you guys!
