Des and Sinead were extremely organized. They picked us up from the airport, greeted us with food and fun! They were truly amazing and super duper nice! The rooms were very clean and very well decorated. We had tons of fun in Dublin and their hosting helped contribute greatly. After being a host for 5 years it felt great to be hosted myself! Thanks again guys! - Josh
It was really great to stay with Des&Sinead! They are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend and definitely stay with them when I come to Ireland again.
Des & Sinead's place was our last stop before leaving Ireland the next morning. After a long day traveling from Waterford up to see Newgrange, their place was only 30 mins away, easy to find, and they greeted us at the door when we arrived. Friendly, and the room was more than enough space for my husband and I and our two kids (15 and 12). We would gladly stay there again!
Des and Sinead were wonderful hosts. Prior to booking, we asked if we could arrive late since we were going to be on the 20:30 ferry from Holyhead to Dublin. No problem, they said. They delivered. They met us outside as we drove up and helped get our groggy kids settled quickly. We saw them take guests to bus stops and the airport. They did laundry. I would not expect all the extra services they provided to be included in the price for your stay (their petrol, etc. has a cost and their time should be compensated), but it is comforting to know your hosts are there to help you make your difficulties go away and make your trip more enjoyable. We had great conversations as they prepared breakfasts in the morning. They provided maps, suggestions and just interesting conversation. As far as the space in their home, they have a multi-story home with a family room that slept five and doubles that could have an extra bed inside. Ceilings were high (no head bumps for me at 2 meters tall-6'6"). Wifi was strong even in your bedroom. Water pressure and hot water were good in the shower. We would definitely stay here again. In fact we already did coming back for two more nights after our original one night stay.
Des and Sinead were wonderful hosts. They were so accommodating. They picked me up at the airport, and then made another trip to the airport a few hours later to pick up my boyfriend. The room and house were clean and well kept, the other guests were friendly, the proximity to the airport was great, and their two little dogs are the cutest things ever. Would definitely recommend a stay here to anyone on their way in or out of Dublin!
des and sinead were very welcoming and helpfull hosts with practical travel advice i would have no hesistation in recomending them for anyone visiting dublin cheers..mark
Overall I think saying our experience was great or awesome would be an understatement, Not only was this place wonderful, it was affordable, perfect place to stay. Des and Sinead were perfect hosts, and the area they lived in was very wonderful. Wish i could move to their neighborhood. They didn't live in the city so it wasnt loud, and they were right near the bus stop. Loved talking to them, and getting to know these too. they will always be welcome in my home, and they will be treat like family like they did to us.
First time with airbnb! Des and Sinead welcomed us like friends and provided comprehensive advices for visiting places around and in Dublin. For kids, the square outside the house is very save and the Malahide castle nearby has a fantastic playground. Out stay there was a really good introduction to Ireland.
I stayed with Des & Sinead for two nights, and they were absolutely wonderful! I can't recommend them enough. They were prompt in picking me up from the airport, friendly, open, and had lots of great information about Dublin and its surrounding areas. Their house is gorgeous (seriously, I've stayed in many hotels that weren't nearly as nice). Everything is clean and spacious but also quite comfortable. I really enjoyed spending time with Des & Sinead (and their adorable dogs!), and the next time I'm in Dublin I'll definitely be booking with them.
I will try to give my comments in english so that all people will know in the future that they should stay over with Des and Sinead during their visit in Dublin.
Des and Sinead were super hosts! Accept they had maybe to less eggs for the breakfast ;-))! We were a Family of 9 persons and I will say the Champions in eggs-eating, wether as scrambled eggs or wether fried eggs etc. Sinead was the best eggs cook!! Besides this, they were very hearty. If they did live in Germany I think they would be our best friends. If Des and Sinead will visit Germany it would be a pleasure for all of us to welcome them in our home!
