We loved staying at the Fadahouse. Dario was extremely helpful, arranging a cab for our departure, recommending restaurants, and gelato, and giving us great information about Rome. He even had some snacks for breakfast out for us. Mario gave us a map and marked it for us with bus stops and attractions.
The apartment was clean and spacious. The air conditioning was wonderful during the record breaking heat wave. We could walk or take public transportation easily.
Wonderful experience and wonderful host! Thank you, Dario!
Spacious apartment. Three comfortable beds. Convenient location, a short bus ride away from the main train station. Restaurant across the street is very nice and reasonable. Manager is quite professional, and helped us get a taxi. Apartment is a little old and dark, bathroom quite small, but that's probably typical of rome. Overall we have had a good experience, and would recommend this apartment.
Great apartment in a great location. Just spent 3 nights with wife and two teen kids. The apartment is spacious, comfortable and very well maintained and appointed. Dario was an amazing host, he welcomed us and gave us directions and had yogurt, water, pastries and other goodies for us. For those driving there is an affordable parking nearby. As for locations we used taxis and never paid more than 12 euros, even to the other side of town. There are several places across the street for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The neighborhood is very safe and nice. Walking distance to famous Via Veneto and a few other places. Highly recommend this apartment and Dario as a host.
Host was polite and answered most email inquiries. Gave us very useful information first day we got there. Also, he kindly arranged taxi service for us for our trips to and from the airport. Language barrier but we managed to communicate.
This was a great choice for us in Rome. We used the apartment as our base for walking all over the city. We never took public transportation and only a taxi once. It's located in a great neighborhood with plenty of amenities and restaurants. The apartment gave our family plenty of space to spread out and it was wonderful to return to air conditioning after some very hot days of touring the city. Dario met us as planned and was a great host. He gave us useful information about the city, getting around, local amenities/shops etc. He even booked our taxi back to the airport for us. The apartment looked just like the pictures.
Beautiful and well-maintained space at a convenient location. I stayed here a week with my family and would definitely stay here again.
The neighborhood feels like "real" Rome with grocery and clothing stores and is fun to stroll around. Still I found it easy to get to all the tourist sites by bus or walking in 10-20 minutes. No matter where I ended up in Rome, I found a direct bus line to take me back to FADAhouse (thanks to the maps app on my smart phone). It is an easy 10-minute walk to Termini if you want to take the metro.
The bedrooms are comfortable with their own windows and quiet A/C, including the smallest with a single bed. The unit has thick, double-paned windows which block out any city noise. We slept very well!
We used the dining room as a family room and ate in the kitchen. (They are totally separate rooms.) The food preparation area is a little small but functional. The bathrooms are also compact, modern, and solid. The decor around the apartment is a real treat -- wood furniture that was refinished by the owner.
Dario is a friendly host who took time to orient us and even walked me down the streets to show me the bus stop and local Roman ruins. He showed us how to make coffee Italian style with a moka pot. A good communicator all around.
About the Host, Dario
My name is Dario, and I am a university student (I'm trying to study law at Sapienza University), and I live in Rome, city that I love.
But I also love travel, and when I don't have lessons or exams, I carve out some space for visiting new places.
