A little about the house:
The interior of this 106 year old home was restored to it's former glory when we exposed the original woodwork. The rooms are awash in sunlight. The largest room has a queen bed, the medium room a full bed, and the smaller room two single beds. Additionally, the sofa opens up into a full size bed. There is a cable TV and high speed WIFI throughout. The main bathroom has the original Clawfoot Bathtub (from 1907!) to soak in and possibly the only bidet in San Francisco. There is an additional half-bath if things get crowded. The kitchen is well stocked if you like to cook on the vintage gas stove. Feel free to host a dinner before hitting the town. Or lounge on the private deck and have a BBQ. This is the downstairs of a corner duplex, and the upstairs neighbor is very cool.
A little about the Mission:
This is hands-down the best place to be in San Francisco. The Mission is one of the culinary Hot Spots of America, and you will be surrounded by innovative restaurants, cafes, and bars that range from the affordable to the posh. Every ethnic cuisine is represented, although Pancho Villa's burrito reigns supreme. Within three blocks are Flour and Water, Central Kitchen, Blue Bottle, Atlas Cafe, Coffee Bar, Charles Chocolates, Salumeria, Universal Cafe, Blowfish Sushi, Trick Dog Bar, Slow Club, Rhea's Deli, American Grilled Cheese, Southern Pacific Brewery. Yelp any of these places and you'll understand why you're in Foodie nirvana. At night you can walk to all the action on Mission and Valencia, or you can explore the cultural and artistic events that abound in the neighorhood. Our #1 thing to do is to have an impromptu picnic at Dolores Park in the late afternoon. There you will find a true cross-section of the Mission.
***Secure garage parking is available only if you ask for it at the time of your reservation. Our garage is typically small like most garages in San Francisco. For larger cars, it may be a tight fit. We have a Nissan Rogue that fits fine. Plenty of free street parking is also available weekdays after 4pm and all day weekends. Weekday parking from 8am-4pm requires a bit of circling but a spot usually opens up within a block or two.
The 27 Bus picks you up across the street and drops you off downtown (Powell / Union Square) in less than 20 minutes. You can also walk to BART (metro) at 16th or 24th if you want to explore the Bay Area. If you like to bike, we have three bikes (beater, foldable, and mountain) free of charge for you to bike along the waterfront (or to Golden Gate Park).
We could go on and on... but we'll let you enjoy the neighborhood on your own. Cheers!

We spent 3 days here while visiting San Francisco. The house is located in a great spot within walking distance to many coffee shops and restaurants. The house had a lot of character and was very clean, and the host was very friendly. We'd definitely look into staying here again next time we visit.
This was the perfect place for our stay in SF. We had a great time. Only problem was we were not there for long enough. Thank you Amadis and Martha :-)
Was a wonderful experience staying on this house. Very central and a good place to stay. I recommend it to everyone that is looking for someplace to stay in San Francisco. Can wait to come back.
We stayed in Amadis and Martha's apartment in early April. There was plenty of room for 4 people to spread out and enjoy the stay. We were amazed at how cute this place was - so much character, and quite the charming/worldly art and book collection. There is also a small patio outside, which would be great in warm weather. It's somewhat of a busy corner, but we felt right at home, and could easily walk to the heart of the Mission district. There are some great coffee shops, restaurants and bars nearby. Would definitely recommend this apartment!
We really enjoyed our stay in this charming Mission area house. The handover was very easy and communication was excellent. The property has lovely character and is very well appointed and spacious. It had everything we needed (and more) for our 4 night stay in San Francisco. The parking was very useful (the garage accommodated our hired Ford Focus with ease). I would definitely recommend this property and Amadis & Martha as hosts.
Lovely flat in the sunniest part of San Francisco, well-cared for with the bonus of a parking place in the garage. Our two kids and the two of us had plenty of room and a comfortable outpost from which to explore the city.
The directions and check in and out was easy and the house suited us just right. I might add the pillow were wonderful and two of us are buying new ones at home. Thank you for such a cute house. Jeri
What a beautiful place! The rooms are lovely, the bathroom fully equiped and big and the living/kitchen area very comfy. We also liked the very cute patio! The appartement is located perfectly. We took trips to the sights of SF with the car and also with public transportation. We tried the suggested restaurants in the district: thumbs up!!
All in all: thank you Amadis for this very nice apartment. It made our visit to SF just perfect!!
We absolutely loved this unique, charming, and super clean house. It was in an awesome location and it was such a good deal! Amadis and Martha were very communicative and flexible, which we really appreciated. I would recommend the house to anyone visiting the city or with a group of friends or relatives visiting the city.
3 Bd Mission Charmer was just that: in a great Mission location with a comfortable living space for 6 of us.
Our family came down from Toronto to celebrate our Ma Ma's 100th birthday, so it accommodated all of us very well - ages 6 to 66. The wood floors were the kind of feel we were looking for, and everything was at hand for us.
The garage was too small for our rented van, and some street noise on Friday night were the only real issues - but even then, we slept soundly in the comfortable and clean rooms.
The home rules and instructions were clear and fantastic - lots of recommendations in the area for food, coffee, and sights with many maps and suggestions on the coffee table inside. We'd love to stay there again when we're back in SF, and will definitely recommend for a large group.
Thanks Amadis and Martha!
