We're sure you'll find our Historic New Orleans Storefront a memorable way to visit and enjoy our amazing city.
OUR SPACE: Our home is a New Orleans storefront building with living quarters above built around 1885. Like many storefront buildings we are located on a corner. Over the years the building has been home to a number of businesses; an attorney's office, a beauty salon and at least two bars. We're an easy walk to the French Quarter and many other local attractions.
Our home is bright, colorful and full of local folk art and outsider art. Our guest room has a very comfortable queen size bed, TV and wifi connection for you to connect to the internet . A large private full bathroom is also located off the hall next to the guest room. We provide light breakfast fare for to enjoy in the kitchen.
Please note: On Street Parking Only (like most of New Orleans neighborhoods).
Thanks for taking the time to look at our listing!
Interaction with Guests
The guest room and bathroom are on the first floor of the house. We do most of our daily living on the 2nd floor of the house. We always orient our guests to the house, the area and the city when they arrive. We're always available for suggestions of things to see and do in this amazing city. The way the house is designed and lived in, provides lots of privacy for both guests and hosts.
THE NEIGHBORHOOD~TREME' Treme' is the 3rd oldest neighborhood in New Orleans and is considered the oldest African American neighborhood in the United States. Treme is located directly behind (away from the Mississippi River) the French Quarter. We are four blocks from Esplanade Ave. and ten blocks from both the French Quarter and Canal Street, along which runs the historic Canal Streetcar line making easy access to Uptown, the Universities, Magazine St., the New Orleans Zoo and much more. We are within walking distance of Jackson Square which is considered the heart of the French Quarter where you will also find the world famous Cafe du Monde and the historic St. Louis Cathedral. From the house to the edge of French Quarter is about a 10-12 minute walk.
There are several bus lines within a 3-6 block walk from the house. It's a 10-12 minute walk to the edge of the French Quarter and about a 20 minute walk to Frenchmen Street.

All that said, have FUN and a GREAT time in New Orleans! :-)
We had a wonderful time staying with Michael and David during our trip to New Orleans. Initially, we had wanted to stay in the French quarter (like all NOLA first timers), but had a hard time finding anywhere affordable. We were so lucky to have found this place. In addition to its close proximity to the quarter, we had some of our favorite culinary and cultural experiences in Treme. The space itself is beautiful and very private. Local artwork is everywhere, and we received fresh blueberry bread and access to a coffee maker in the morning. Staying with Michael and David is a great way to experience New Orleans. We'll definitely study with Michael and David during our next trip down!
Absolutely fabulous! They were very friendly and welcoming yet gave us a lot of privacy! They gave us great info of where to go and what to do. Loved the coffee and blueberry bread they provided. The house and room were beautiful had a lot of character and looked like an art museum! Great location fairly close to everything! We had an amazing time and plan on staying there again next time we are in town! Thanks guys!
We had an amazing time in New Orleans and staying at Michael& Davis was part of it. They both were very friendly and extremely helpful. Their place is so beautiful and it feels like it's been taken from a design magazine. Everything was clean and comfortable. The backyard is so pretty and it was great sitting there to eat breakfast. They left for us a lot of things in the fridge including great blueberry bread. Thank you so much for hosting us!!!
Great hosts! We were welcomed with a smile and very useful tips and maps about NOLA. The bed is really confy and they have toiletries available in the bathroom. The breakfast is delicious too - milk, cereal, coffee, orange juice and a lovely blueberry bread! Just need to be a little careful after dark in their neighbourhood, preferably using a cab to get back at night. But we had no trouble at all. It's so awesome we have already recommended the place to a friend! Thank you for making our stay so pleasant.
Amazing hosts in an amazing house in Treme. David and Michael were extremely helpful with their great recommendations of bars and restaurants not only around the overly touristy French Quarter, but also other neighborhoods. Our NOLA experience was pumped up because of them!
Michael & David were extraordinary hosts, they have a very beautiful home and are able to make anyone feel at home. I was in NOLA to sit for the Louisiana Bar as such I was unable to enjoy new orleans as much that said, Michael & David were welcoming, accommodating and provided me with great insight as to the area. Highly recommend them!
David and Michael made me feel incredibly welcome. I enjoyed everything here in NOLA. The house, the room, Tremé, the people, the food.
David provide all the information on places to visit nearby and to eat. I'm very happy with my stay! I had a great experience for the first Airbnb trip. I'm certain I will come back. Thank you for being such great hosts!

We're fun loving, easy going and progressive. We love art, traveling, good food and meeting great people. We enjoy everything New Orleans has to offer; Mardi Gras, French Quarter Fest, Southern Decadence (like a gay mardi gras), Secondlines, Mardi Gras Indians (we tell you more about this when you get here!)... The food and music are second to none. The local culture is rich, vibrant and unlike anything you'll find anywhere else in the United States. If you're lucky enough to spend a Wednesday night at the Candlelight Lounge with the Treme Brass Band or experience a Thursday afternoon concert with the Friends of Armstrong Park, you'll quickly understand the magic of New Orleans and Treme.
To experience the wonder that is New Orleans you need to step outside of the French Quarter see how we really live.
We look forward to hearing from you!
