Welcome to New Orleans ~ America's most unique city!

We've been Airbnb hosts since 2009. The best reward for being a part of the Airbnb community is that we've made hundreds of friends from all across the globe!

We're sure you'll find our Historic New Orleans Storefront a memorable way to visit and enjoy our amazing city.

OUR SPACE: Our home is a New Orleans storefront building with living quarters above built around 1885. Like many storefront buildings we are located on a corner. Over the years the building has been home to a number of businesses; an attorney's office, a beauty salon and at least two bars. We're an easy walk to the French Quarter and many other local attractions.

Our home is bright, colorful and full of local folk art and outsider art. Our guest room has a very comfortable queen size bed, TV and wifi connection for you to connect to the internet . A large private full bathroom is also located off the hall next to the guest room. We provide light breakfast fare for to enjoy in the kitchen.

Please note: On Street Parking Only (like most of New Orleans neighborhoods).

THE NEIGHBORHOOD~TREME' Treme' is the 3rd oldest neighborhood in New Orleans and is located directly behind (away from the Mississippi River) the French Quarter. We are three blocks from Esplanade Ave. and ten blocks from both the French Quarter and Canal Street, along which runs the historic Canal Streetcar line making easy access to Uptown, the Universities, Magazine St., the New Orleans Zoo and much more. We are within walking distance of Jackson Square which is considered the heart of the French Quarter where you will also find the world famous Cafe du Monde and the historic St. Louis Cathedral. From the house to the edge of French Quarter is about a 10-12 minute walk. We are was largely filmed in the neighborhood. Currently, American Horror Story is filming season 3 in and around the Treme and the French Quarter.

  • Michael and David were great hosts. The house was beautifully decorated, clean, and truly unique. I would definitely recommend staying here. Plus, they make delicious blueberry bread.

  • My husband and I decided to travel to New Orleans for our 1 year wedding anniversary. It was our first time ever using Air BnB, and we are glad that we decided to stay at Michael and David's home. When we arrived, David was their to greet us and show us around. David, gave us a great deal of information regarding the city of New Orleans, with a helpful map, and a print out of some of his favorite spots to eat, shop, sightsee etc. We had access to the kitchen and dining area, which was down the hallway from the bathroom and our bedroom. The A/C was running all day and night, which was necessary when escaping the New Orleans heat. The bathroom was fully stocked with towels, soap, tissues etc. David and Michael even left us homemade blueberry bread, which was delicious. We felt at home the moment we arrived and thoroughly enjoyed our entire stay.

  • David and Micheal were wonderful hosts!! They have an absolutely beautiful home , very clean and conveniently located. They were very welcoming and kind enough to give us advice on some of their favorite places in the city and anything else we had questions about. And to top it off the blueberry bread they bake is delicious and a great start to the day! We had a lovely time and would highly recommend anyone looking for a place to stay in New Orleans to stay here!!

  • Michael and David were absolutely fantastic hosts. Our trip started off with a super knowledgeable breakdown of the city! Inside the room there were a lot of travel books and maps that were super helpful in navigating our way around the city. There was even the newest version of New Orleans "Lonely Planet" included.

The Treme really feels like the heart and soul of New Orleans and it has historically been a black community. David and Michael's house really reflects the Treme and general feel of city of New Orleans. Their home is filled with beautiful African and New Orleans artwork. We really felt like it was a treat to be amongst a home that the owners obviously care deeply for!

Aside from the beauty of the home, Michael was born in New Orleans and David has been there for over 15 plus years. They were both super helpful with giving recommendations for restaurants, local hang out spots, and all gems in NOLA. They were both always willing to hang out in the kitchen and talk with us about what we do, ask why we were visiting, and trade stories about life. We truly felt connected to them!

We left New Orleans planning our next trip out. Our hosts were a huge part as to why we fell in love with the city and we will miss them equally as much as we already miss New Orleans.

Hopefully we will run into them soon. If not as visitors maybe as neighbors. :)

  • Michael and David were wonderful hosts. They were friendly and helpful at every turn. There were maps and other helpful information in our room. Our room and bathroom were clean and nicely furnished. We had use of the kitchen and plenty of privacy. The neighborhood was friendly and quiet so sleeping in was not a problem. The house is located in the diverse Treme District but within easy walking distance of the French Quarter. I would definitely suggest anyone going to NOLA to consider staying there to better enrich your NOLA experience.

  • I've just got home from a brilliant trip to the States, and can't stop thinking about the great time I had in New Orleans! I'm sure my colleagues are sick of me talking about it. A huge part of why I loved it so much, was my stay with David and Michael in their beautiful, welcoming home. Not only is it really well located for exploring the best the city has to offer, it was a also just an awesome place to be. Clean and comfortable of course, but so much more than that - you really experience the spirit of the city when you stay here. I was traveling on my own, and the welcome and advice I received really helped me to settle into the city quickly, and feel totally at home. Would definitely stay again.

  • Perfect hosts who take the time to give you very useful tips about the New orleans right on arrival so that you do not waste any time finding your way around that very unique and beautiful city. We had barely put down our luggage that we were already immersed. And last but not the least, the house and the bedroom are fantastic, best Airbnb so far! Thanks, guys !

About
We've been Airbnb hosts since 2009. We've had the pleasure of sharing our home with many great members of the Airbnb community and, we've made hundreds of friends from all across the globe! We're fun loving, easy going and progressive. We love art, traveling, good food and meeting great people. We enjoy everything New Orleans has to offer; Mardi Gras, French Quarter Fest, Southern Decadence (like a gay mardi gras), Secondlines, Mardi Gras Indians (we tell you more about this when you get here!)... The food and music are second to none. The local culture is rich, vibrant and unlike anything you'll find anywhere else in the United States. If you're lucky enough to spend a Wednesday night at the Candlelight Lounge with the Treme Brass Band or experience a Thursday afternoon concert with the Friends of Armstrong Park, you'll quickly understand the magic of New Orleans and Treme. To experience the wonder that is New Orleans you need to step outside of the French Quarter see how we really live. We look forward to hearing from you!
