Beautiful area

Guests love this home’s scenic location.
You can soak in tranquility at this modern cabin with a hot tub, indoor fireplace and outdoor living space. The Caney Fork River borders the 63 acre farm, which connects directly to over 60,000 acres of protected wilderness where you have free access to miles of hiking trails, magical waterfalls, historic homesteads and impressive caves. At the cabin, you can listen to the sounds of nature as you take in the scenic valley views of Big Bottom and the mountain views of Scott’s Gulf State Park.

The space
Perched above Dry Creek and the Caney Fork River, the Big Bottom Bungalow has amazing views of the Big Bottom Wildlife Management Area and the newly designated Scott’s Gulf State Park. This modern cabin is built for up to 6 guests to enjoy indoor and outdoor living. High vaulted ceilings and large windows bring natural light into the open concept living room and kitchen equipped with modern appliances. The master suite includes a full bath and separate laundry room while the second bedroom has two sturdy twin bunkbeds, conveniently located across from a second full bath. The Italian leather couch converts to a full bed. Whether relaxing inside or on the expansive wraparound deck, you can either completely disconnect or take advantage of the lightning-fast fiber internet. The covered side porch features a hot tub and 50” HDTV in an outdoor living space with easy access to the gas grill and fire pit area. The farm has abundant wildlife that live in the orchard of newly planted apple, cherry, chestnut, pear and persimmon trees surrounding an old tobacco barn.

Several scenic attractions are nearby. Walk 200 yards along the gravel road through hayfields into Big Bottom WMA, an area reminiscent of Cades Cove in the Smoky Mountains. Mitchell Ford Kayak Launch Point is less than 1 mile away. Put in here for a gentle float on the Caney Fork River that flows into the flat water behind the Rock Island State Park dam. A trailhead to the impressive 110’ Virgin Falls is under 2 miles away, as is the easily accessible Lost Creek Waterfall and Cave where Disney filmed scenes for the Jungle Book. Follow the road through Lost Creek to see the historic Dog Cove and on through working Mennonite farms en route to Sparta, TN for shopping, dining, craft breweries, local art and more.
