7 minutes to DT, 12 minutes to ABIA (straight shot down Airport Blvd.) (URL HIDDEN) Located near 45th/Airport Blvd./IH35, but on a secluded cul-de-sac.

Like pretty much everywhere in Austin, Hyde Park has a nice collection of food carts. (URL HIDDEN)

Kitchen stocked with every conceivable utensil and condiment. Nice new bamboo counter tops. Bathroom is clean but a little worse for the wear and tear. Hardwood floors, ceiling fans. Lots of original artwork on the walls.

House was featured on HGTV's "What's With THAT House?" in February, 2006. Site of numerous tapings, parties, seders, weddings, special events and displays. Site of the Austin's annual Flag Day Parade & Celebration (June 14th). A very "Keep Austin Weird" household.

House is home to one small Siamese cat, Emma, who will probably just sniff at you and then ignore you. Sorry, no pets allowed. (Emma put her paw down.) No smoking in the house. Deposit, references and a good vibe kindly requested.

Jim was very hospitable from the beginning, making sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable during our stay there. The house was unique and was very close to downtown Austin. It was a great find and I highly recommend it to anyone trying to experience Austin at its best!
