I am a retired teacher/administrator for one of the largest school districts in El Paso. Although retired, I stay active in community affairs and will tutor/teach when I need to.
I also am a busy grandmother of four beautiful and active grandchildren. I help when I can at their schools.
I have two pets, an old Calico cat (17 years old) and a frisky 2 year old Jack Russell/Poodle who will love you and lick you if you want. The pets are well managed and the dog is kept outdoors most of the time. If you are allergic to cats, this isn't the place for you to stay. Belle stays indoors but does not get in your way!
I love to cook, read, watch my favorite shows on tv, hang out with friends and family, and teach ... whether it's writing, literature or grammar :) I'm a bit of a stickler when it comes to grammar, but all in all, I'm friendly and have a great sense of humor. I also like to listen to jazz, blues, salsa, rhythm and blues, and good old rock 'n roll.
Recent projects include sewing a Renaissance dress for one of my granddaughter's school projects. I also am a VIP and volunteer at the Scholastic Book Fair at my grandchildren's schools.
My home is small, but has a friendly atmosphere.
