No noise in the night
Leandro was there to show us the apartment. The location of it was perfect and bedrooms very spacious. Fully equipped kitchen, all just like home. the only worry was water ponding part of the kitchen floor last few days.
Leandro is the kindest host whom I've met. He did everything to make sure that our staying at his place was memorable. Arriving at the airport at midnight, he referred a friend came to pick us up and allowing us to check in that late with no charge whatsoever. That same friend gave us a private tour the next day to a Catacomb and visit Assisi with a very reasonable and yummy lunch in Assisi. With Leandro kindness and help, our visit in Rome was perfect without any hiccups. We walked to St. Peters Square quite often because it is so close. It is safe, clean, and wonderful. His place is so roomy for the group of 7 of us. It can room 9 people easily. Thanks Leandro and Alberto for everything you had done for us. We absolutely send everyone there and stay there again when we come back.
Leandro contacted me a couple of weeks before our scheduled arrival with a helpful and detailed explanation of how to get to the apartment from the airport, as well as a list of recommended attractions and restaurants (always best to get those from a local). He arranged a van for our group (7 of us), the driver waited for us at the arrival hall.
He waited for us at the apartment and showed us around, and was very helpful with the usual tourist questions. The place was even larger than I expected. The 4 bedrooms were all huge. The living room was a bit small but we didn't mind it, especially since the adjacent kitchen provided extra space. Everything in the apartment was clean and ready for us when we got there. The building is in very good shape, and the apartment is on the first floor up. The neighborhood is not so touristy, in a good sense, that it's not noisy and crowded.
There are local bakeries and restaurants that are very good and not (website hidden). Peter's Square is a 5 minute walk from the apartment, and getting to the center of Rome is easy with several bus lines next door (about 20-30 minutes to Piazza Venezia).
