I just got home from a fabulous stay at Pamela and Kevin's cabin and miss it already! The cabin is located on a beautiful country road, tucked up on a hillside, just beyond Mela and Kevin's home. Although in close proximity to their house, the cabin feels very private. Mela and Kevin were extremely warm, welcoming and available. They are also very courteous and give their guests plenty of space to enjoy a feeling of solitude, peace and quiet (and/or the soothing sights and sounds of the nature around them). The cabin was more than I'd hoped it would be! When I arrived, Kevin had the (gas) fireplace already going which made the space feel extra inviting and cozy. I loved stretching/doing yoga in the living area/by the fire each morning/evening. The kitchen had all the necessities and the little dining table was a great place to read and work as well. The beds and linens were very comfortable. The bathroom is lovely! And I really wish I'd had more time to cozy up with a book in very toasty loft area. This efficient little cabin is so thoughtfully built with lots of beautiful wood work (by Kevin!) I can't recommend this place enough, and sincerely look forward to staying here again!

Pamela and her husband are amazing hosts. We showed up a bit later at night on our checkin day due to a long drive and a snow storm and they were still up ready to check my girlfriend and I in. The place was immaculate and exceeded the expectations from the pictures. Absolutely clean, cozy, warm, quiet and had beautiful views of the snow covered hills. Had everything we needed and an amazing wintery weekend, and would love to come back again anytime!!

This place is a great little cottage in the mountains! It has everything you need & is perfect for a nice getaway. You are the perfect distance from surrounding towns. Just a quick drive & you are in Montpelier & Waterbury. If you ski or board, Sugarbush mountain is only a half hour away. The ride is not bad at all. Also, the general store down the street is great & has everything you need. Their breakfast sandwiches & pizza are delicious! I highly recommend a getaway here!

Pamela's cabin was the perfect place to spend a ski holiday while ringing in the New Year! The cabin was warm, cozy, and had all the amenities we needed to relax after a fun day of skiing. We especially enjoyed the fireplace, and the fully-outfitted kitchen which allowed us to make breakfast and dinner as needed throughout our trip. Pamela and Kevin were excellent hosts, with great communication leading up to our stay. We had no problem finding the cabin with the driving instructions they provided. We initially struggled while trying to climb their steep driveway with 8+ inches of fresh snow on the ground, and had to park the car off the road instead. Kevin offered to help us by loading up his truck with our luggage and driving us up the driveway to the cabin to begin our vacation. A plow arrived to clear the driveway a short while later at which point we were able to move our car to the parking spot adjacent to the cabin. What great hosts!

This was exactly what my partner and I had in mind when we decided to get away for Thanksgiving. With an inch or two of snow on the ground, we were still able to reach the place and drive around safely in a Prius. Hosts thoroughly helpful and courteous. The cottage is great: it looks fantastic and the kitchen was well furnished, allowing us to cook whatever we wanted. We spent hours reading up in the small loft area, where warmer air collects. The corner store is as good as other reviewers have noted. And both Montpelier and a place to hike in CC Putnam State Forest were surprisingly close and easy to reach.
