This cottage was everything described and more! Pamela was a very communicative and thoughtful host. The interior of the cottage is gorgeous and rustic, with beautiful details throughout. The kitchen has everything you need, we had a great time cooking meals and eating them on the porch. The bed is very comfortable. We loved walking around the property and even taking a dip in the swimming hole! The property is in a great location, away from it all but 20-45 minutes from Montpelier, Burlington and Stowe. We didn't want to leave!

My boyfriend and I enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It was exactly as pictured. Pamela was great with communication right up until we arrived. Her husband greeted us and made us feel welcome. We felt at home right away and were really sad to leave at the end. I was surprised how close we were to Montpelier, Waterbury and Stowe. We also admired the cottage's craftsmanship. The cottage was very spacious and we could not ask for a better kitchen. We both cooked a lot during our stay. I would highly recommend the Vermont Guest Cottage for a relaxing getaway.
Pamela and Kevin's cottage is like a dream. My boyfriend and I were looking for a weekend getaway to ski in the area, and we could not have been happier. The cottage is cozy, well equipped, and the indoor fireplace is awesome. The scenery was fabulous - just snow and woods. The location is great - close to many ski areas and great food in the nearby towns. If it's snowy, just beware bc the driveway is steep and the road to get there is meandering, but they made sure the drive was well plowed.
Kevin was there to greet us when we arrived an hour later than expected (we had gotten stuck in awful traffic and didn't have cell service) and was gracious and told us we could just knock on their door if we needed anything. Pamela was out of town the weekend but was great about communicating beforehand - thorough directions, contact info, the works.
Pamela and Kevin's guest cottage was the perfect place for a winter weekend getaway. My boyfriend and I originally booked our stay so that we could go skiing in the area but the negative temperatures and strong winds deterred us from doing so. Fortunately, the cottage was very cozy and had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. The fireplace kept us warm while we lounged around, read, and played cards. Pamela was very friendly and helpful prior to our arrival. Hopefully we will have the chance to visit again during a warmer season!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It was exactly as pictured. Pamela was great with communication right up until the morning of our arrival. We felt at home right away and were so sad to leave at the end! The surrounding area is also beautiful. About a 15-30 min drive to Montpelier, Waitsfield, Waterbury and Stowe. All lovely little towns worth checking out! I would highly recommend the Vermont Guest Cottage for a relaxing getaway.
No words can describe this beautiful cabin! This place is fully equipped with anything you can think of and more, compact & efficient. Mela and Kevin are open minded & pleasant people, it was such a pleasure meeting them. If you like to cook, don’t bother bringing your knife or pots, this small kitchen has it all. We stayed here during a massive snow storm and got stuck another night but felt like it was meant to be, as we had another full day of peaceful loving in this romantic magical cabin. Highly recommended. If you’re there in winter, we also recommend getting a pair of the locally made Darn Tough sucks, they might be expensive but we promise you won’t be able to take them off :)
