Arraial do Cabo is a small town (Pop. 27,000) located in the Brazilian state of Rio de Janeiro, 95 Miles northeast of the state capital. The city is known as the Brazilian Caribbean for its beautiful beaches with white sand and emerald color waters. It is also the best place for scuba diving in Brazil, for its underwater visibility, which is amazing, and great variety of sea animals brought by the Falklands stream. If you are lucky, maybe you could see orca whales, dolphins, elephant seals, and you certainly will see a huge diversity of fishes. You can join one of the many diving operators available in Arraial do Cabo to visit shipwrecks, as well.
