If you'd like to borrow records, books, or special please ask in advance.
You don't bring your pets. I'd probably love your pets at your home, but I can't let you bring them to mine.
You won't use furniture in unorthodox ways. I have some nice stuff and I intend to keep it that way.
You are possibly a seasoned traveler and desire an experience that approximates living in Austin the way locals do.
I am respectful of privacy and space. I can pick up on nuances that tell me a person wants to hang or make small talk or keep to themselves. I think I'm a chill guy.
My boyfriend and I had a fantastic stay in Austin and a huge contributing factor was the location of Ricardo's home. The neighborhood is quiet and charming but only a few streets over from funky SoCo with great food, shops, and music on every corner. We greatly appreciated the Smartwater and cups waiting for us in the room when we arrived and the separate entrance made the room feel like our own private bungalow.
Ricardo was an extremely gracious host. He made us feel welcomed and gave us tons of recommendations on what to do in Austin. The room and house were cleanly and felt like home the moment we stepped inside. Location could not be any better. You can walk to South Congress or just walk around the neighborhood and look at all the cool houses.
Of all of the places I have stayed using Airbnb (and there are a lot,) this has to be one of my favorites. Ricardo's sweet little house was exactly what we were looking for in so many ways. Great location, beautifully furnished, and very comfortable. Ricardo was a great host and communicated with us both before and during our trip. I was arriving in Austin on crutches with a broken foot and he made sure that I had everything I needed to have a safe and stress-free stay. He totally put us at ease as a host. Ricardo's house is tastefully decorated and extremely clean and neat. The bedroom was very comfortable and the shared bathroom was convenient. The sheets on the bed were incredibly soft and the mattress and pillows insured a great night's sleep. The location of this house could not have been better, just a couple of blocks from South Congress where we spent most of our time. It was really easy to get around on foot (well, one foot and two crutches) and still feel like we were in a quiet, secluded neighborhood. I am already considering my next trip to Austin and I definitely want to stay at Ricardo's little house again.
Ricardo provided great instructions and information to get me settled before he arrived home from work.
The house was great - just as described and very clean and relaxing.
The neighbourhood was quiet but just a short (maybe 6 minute) walk from bustling SoCo.
When I met with Ricardo he was a very relaxed guy, with plenty of recommendations on places to visit, eat and drink. He was a very informative, kind and courteous host, which made for a very memorable and fun stay.
Definitely a recommended stay.
Ricardo's home is a great, comfortable space. Great vibes, too. I was in town to research at UT and was happy to have the place as a cozy crash pad. Ricardo is extremely kind and helpful -- he has answers to any questions you might have. The location is a quick walk to vintage shopping (including tchotchkes galore at Uncommon Objects!) and a variety of restaurants along South Congress; and from there, it's an easy commute downtown. Highly recommended!
Ricardo was extremely friendly and welcoming. The place is so lovely! There were three of us staying for two nights and Ricardo gave us plenty of privacy but was conversational when we ran into one another. The location is walking district to all the fun on South Congress and a short drive to anywhere we wanted to go in the city. Would highly recommend this spot.
We loved staying at Ricardo's beautiful AirBnB! We felt very at home instantly, just like when we met Ricardo it felt like an instant friend was gained. We caught Austin on some rainy days, and ended up actually relaxing more at the house than anything…the best time we could have asked for I believe. Relaxing, beautiful, original and exceptionally organised home. And the best coffee we've had in a while! When can we move in?! Thanks for being such a genuinely nice host Ricardo! Until the next time. :D
