Nicole and Gilles
Nicole and Gilles were wonderful hosts, and the apartment was beautiful and spotless as described. The location was fantastic and we really enjoyed walking to the shops, the beach, parks, and even downtown. The only thing I would suggest to other travelers (because I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Victoria!) is that they bring a sound machine or maybe some earplugs if they are light sleepers. This is a basement apartment under the main residence, and so sound is a bit of a concern. I am a very light sleeper so I always like to know those kinds of things when choosing a place. But that is the only concern (and it isn't a concern if you are not a light sleeper--the hosts were very considerate) as we really enjoyed this place a lot!
We really loved our little 'nest' in Cook St Village. The walkability of the neighbourhood and gorgeous well-kept homes and gardens we passed en route to our regular coffee shop, made for hundreds of photos and exclamations on our part. Just beautiful.
Our hosts were extremely thoughtful - we found the fridge stocked with milk, cream (THANK you!), OJ, fresh fruit and lovely muffins, to go along with the kettle, tea and coffee supplies.
The suite was clean and user-friendly. We stayed 5 nights and asked for more. The family was charming, as were the 3 chickens in the yard. A lovely first experience of AirBnB
We had a great stay at Nicole and Gilles' lovely hideaway in Victoria. The room is very spacious, private, nicely decorated and stocked with everything you could possibly need. Nicole left us fresh fruit, muffins, and delicious coffee to enjoy in the mornings. The refrigerator and hot plate made it easy to cook dinner so we didn't have to eat out all the time.
Nicole and Gilles graciously provided us with an airbed for our son so he didn't have to drive back and forth to Sidney (half hour each way) every day.
The bed was very comfortable and the location was great - less than a 10 minute walk to grocery stores and a nice pub.
We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return there on any future trips to Victoria.
We had a great time at Nicole's suite. The appartment is well suitated withing a reasonable walking distance from downtown Victoria. The suite had all that we required and more, which made us feel very welcome and comfortable. There was (good) coffee and tea, some basic supplies, extra pillows, some appliances and all the kitchen tools one may need if cooking away from home.
We stayed 2 nights and it was truly a home away from home, at a reasonable price. We would definitely consider coming again, if we were ever to return to Victoria.
We had a great stay at this Cook street Village suite. Nicole is a great host, who was accommodating with check in. She made us feel welcome and who gave us great tips for restaurants in the neighbourhood. We were able to walk to restaurants and to the beach as well as a great hidden park. Nicole left wonderful breakfast food in the fridge ! We would definitely recommend this bed and breakfast. Thank you Nicole
Set in a pleasant residential neighborhood, this is a comfortable and well-appointed suite. It is exactly as the picture shows - clean, bright, and well-equipped. We did some light cooking and could have done more, but there are many cafes, bistros, restaurants and pubs within a few minutes walk. The location is stellar - you can walk to the beach in ten minutes, or downtown in twenty minutes. Nicole and Gilles were welcoming and friendly without being intrusive. We would stay again and will suggest it to our friends.
Neighbourhood was amazing. Great hosts. Clean, bright and the bed was comfortable. Was a good experience for a first time AirBNB user!
We love to travel and have lived in England, France and Canada. We look forward to hosting visitors from all around and are happy to help guests explore this beautiful city with its amazing coastal surroundings.
