This neighborhood is perfect for Portland visitors!
The bus stops across the street and arrives downtown in 20 minutes.
We are a block away from Alberta Street with AMAZING coffee shops, bakeries, famous restaurants, fire pit bars, shops, etc.
Nicely furnished sunny room with new queen size memory foam bed.
5 bedroom 2 bath house with front porch, washer/dryer, high-speed WiFi, Shared Kitchen and lots of light and shared common areas.
This is a shared housing environment. There will be 4 or 5 other guests living in the home.
This is not a Bed and Breakfast, but a regular home that I rent rooms to short term guests. The house has a funky, rustic laid-back Portland style environment. The neighborhood is great and everyone loves the house, but it is definitely a cosmetic fixer.
I keep the home a quiet and welcoming environment and am a knowledgeable host. I am open to spending time and developing relationships with my guests.
I look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to Portland!
The house is a relaxed, quiet environment. There is no TV or music in the common areas. It is important to be quiet opening and closing doors, walking around etc.
10pm-10am quiet hours. There are two rooms on the main floor and basement that can hear a lot since there is not a lot of insulation.
Washing your dishes and cleaning counters after use is the only other important rule of the house. Otherwise it is a very laid-back household.
Thank you for your consideration!
Great location! Teresa was very helpful, communicative, and accommodating to us before and during our brief stay at her place. The room and house were as advertised, very sufficient for our needs. Highly recommended!
I stayed in the room for two weeks, as an interim place to stay before my permanent apartment became available after moving to Portland. My arrival time and work schedule did not allow me to meet Teresa until the beginning of the second week, but she was very open to making the room available to me in spite of that, making arrangements in advance. When I did meet Teresa, I found her to be open, warm, and welcoming as a host. She is a great conversationalist and is comfortable interacting with various personality types. The room met my needs perfectly, and I enjoyed meeting Teresa and a couple of the other guests during my stay. It was a nice, positive experience at my landing point in the city.
Staying with Teresa was a great decision and a wonderful part of our trip. She was extremely welcoming and we felt right at home. The house was perfect for us - nice and cozy and in my now favourite part of Portland :)
Teresa was a fantastic host. She was friendly, welcoming and eager to provide information on places to go. Her place is ideally located near many cool restaurants, stores and public transportation. I also really enjoyed meeting other people staying at her house. This was my first Airbnb stay, and it was a great one.
Great experience! Teresa is very nice, the room is as described, the location is great, and the price is almost unbeatable. I would definitely stay there again if I am ever back in Portland!
Positives: Teresa is nice, the bedroom was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The bedroom was locked and we were provided with a key which made me feel like my things were more secure while I was gone. The kitchen had utensils and dishes we could use, and had a refrigerator/freezer, microwave, toaster oven, oven, and stove. The location of the house was very close (short walk) to lots of cafés, restaurants, and bars. There are two bus stops right by the house that will bring you right into the city - public transportation was easy and very convenient! And as I mentioned, the price was very reasonable for what we got in return!
As I said, I would absolutely stay here again without hesitation. Just a few things that we noticed - there is one bathroom upstairs for 3 rooms to share, so make sure you are okay with that. The comforter had a bit of an odor that was noticeable only when in the bed. The bed is advertised as a queen, but it did seem a bit smaller (maybe a full?).
The house overall isn't brand new, but Teresa makes that clear in the room description. The whole 5-bedroom house is rented out, so it might get a little crowded if it's a full house - while we were there only a few of the rooms were filled. Just make sure you're okay with that. :)
Again- great host, great room, great experience. Highly recommended! Thanks Teresa!
The listing was accurate, and Teresa made it easy to get situated and drop off my luggage and so forth. The room and house were both quite clean, and I felt welcome there for sure! Great neighborhood too: brunch, coffee, and a convenience store all one block away, and a co-op grocery and a ton of restaurants almost as close.

I am very mellow but also friendly and outgoing. I like to develop relationships with people of all walks of life. I keep busy but also like to make time to get to know house mates. I have traveled in India, Mexico, Thailand, Canada, and the US. I have lived in Portland and this neighborhood for a long time and have many great suggestions.
