About this listing
This neighborhood is perfect for Portland visitors!
The bus stops across the street and arrives downtown in 20 minutes.
We are a block away from Alberta Street with AMAZING coffee shops, bakeries, famous restaurants, fire pit bars, shops, etc.
Nicely furnished sunny room with new queen size memory foam bed.
5 bedroom 2 bath house with front porch, washer/dryer, high-speed WiFi, Shared Kitchen and lots of light and shared common areas.
This is a shared housing environment. There will be 4 or 5 other guests living in the home.
This is not a Bed and Breakfast, but a regular home that I rent rooms to short term guests. The house has a funky, rustic laid-back Portland style environment. The neighborhood is great and everyone loves the house, but it is definitely a cosmetic fixer.
I keep the home a quiet and welcoming environment and am a knowledgeable host. I am open to spending time and developing relationships with my guests.
I look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to Portland!
The house is a relaxed, quiet environment. There is no TV or music in the common areas. It is important to be quiet opening and closing doors, walking around etc.
10pm-10am quiet hours. There are two rooms on the main floor and basement that can hear a lot since there is not a lot of insulation.
Washing your dishes and cleaning counters after use is the only other important rule of the house. Otherwise it is a very laid-back household.
Thank you for your consideration!
The listing description was accurate. Teresa made me feel welcome by phoning a day or two in advance and explaining where things were and how the house worked. She just couldn't be available for my arrival, since she had an out-of-town meeting. She also suggested bus options for me and good eating locations. Everything was just how she described it.
Teresa was super-communicative and made sure I had everything I needed. The location was perfect! Really close to the 8-train into downtown and a bunch of awesome stuff on Alberta St. It's also pretty short walk to Everybody's Bike Rentals, where you can rent a bike to get around town. There's place to secure your bike in the back yard.
Teresa was amazingly helpful and friendly. The location was great too, as Teresa's house is only a short walk from Alberta Street. My only tip to other traveler's is to make sure you grab a fan for the room, as the house does not have AC.
Teresa was very friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious and comfortable. Exactly what I needed for my stay in Portland and at a very reasonable price!
The house is comfortable and clean. The most important thing is that the location of the house is really good. A lot of nice restaurants and stores nearby. My friend and I pretty enjoyed our stay here.
