This neighborhood is perfect for Portland visitors!
The bus stops across the street and arrives downtown in 20 minutes.
We are a block away from Alberta Street with AMAZING coffee shops, bakeries, famous restaurants, fire pit bars, shops, etc.
Nicely furnished sunny room with new queen size memory foam bed.
5 bedroom 2 bath house with front porch, washer/dryer, high-speed WiFi, Shared Kitchen and lots of light and shared common areas.
This is a shared housing environment. There will be 4 or 5 other guests living in the home.
This is not a Bed and Breakfast, but a regular home that I rent rooms to short term guests. The house has a funky, rustic laid-back Portland style environment. The neighborhood is great and everyone loves the house, but it is definitely a cosmetic fixer.
I keep the home a quiet and welcoming environment and am a knowledgeable host. I am open to spending time and developing relationships with my guests.
I look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to Portland!

Teresa is awesome. She recommended some really great restaurants, and even made time to hang out with us. We had a great time!
Nice place, nice people, warm, cozy and clean. I highly recommend this place. It is also in a very nice neighbourhood so no problem to get a coffe place or a nice walk.
Teresa was very welcoming and the house is in a fantastic location. Really easy to get downtown by bus and super close to Alberta.
I spent a week here and truly enjoyed my time. Teresa was very accomodating and helpful, and I enjoyed getting to know her and her housemate. It's a crowded but clean home, in an excellent location. I spent the week walking and riding Portland's wonderful public transit system, starting with a bus that stopped three houses away. There were a number of guests who came and went during my week, most of them from outside the U.S., which added to the experience for me.
The house is in a great location--within walking distance of everything Alberta has to offer. We never had the chance to meet Theresa, but she had the room ready for us when we arrived. She provided my friend and I with towels and the wireless code. We found it a little odd that the front door was kept unlocked throughout the night and that we heard other people in the house but never saw anyone. The room and bathroom were generally clean, but coziness was something left to be desired. Definitely a place to stay if you're just looking to crash for a night.
Our stay at this house was great - excellent location nearby the arts district, so we had plenty to keep us busy and interested. The first Thursday of every month there's a large art gathering all along Alberta street, so we enjoyed seeing the performers and artisans in that evening street fair!
Other people staying at the house were nice and friendly, but not invasive which we appreciated. Spent most of our stay checking out the city so we were out of the house quite a bit and came home late most nights which wasn't an issue. We also slept in and everyone else was very quiet in the morning.
This room does face the street, and there's a regular bus line as well as a decent amount of traffic up and down the street, so the room does get some street noise. It's not bad at all, and if you're used to hearing cars it won't be a problem.
Cosmetically, house could use a little bit of help here and there, but overall it was a very comfortable place so we didn't mind at all. I was happy to see an expresso maker, and there's a fantastic coffee shop down the street which I highly recommend for any coffee drinkers (bought the 11 of spades coffee and made it every morning, was wonderful!).
Teresa was out of town during most of our stay, but was there to greet us upon arrival and acquaint us with the house. She was very nice and attended to our needs quickly. I will definitely be interested in staying here again, next time I come to Portland!
Teresa was a gracious host and made me feel like I was home away from home. Highly recommend.
The bed was super comfy and the home was warm and clean. I'd stay there again!
Great place for a great price. It's a charming old house in a wonderful location. Teresa was very nice and everything was as promised. Plus the bed is comfy.
This location could not have been better. We were within walking distance of everything we needed as well as some of the best food in Portland. The room was quaint with good desk space and a comfortable bed. Teresa is an affable host who knows where to take you for more great food and good company. Thanks Teresa! We had such a good time that we felt homesick after leaving Portland.
