A great place to stay for exploring beautiful Leelanau. Simple, basic, clean.

Garden Suite is one of 7 private guest suites at historic Sunset Lodge in Omena. Property overlooks Lake Michigan's Grand Traverse Bay. Private entrance with keypad lock. On 1st floor of guesthouse built in 1895.

One bedroom w/ King bed. Kitchenette/sitting area. WiFi and HD TV. Bathroom has modern fixtures with shower stall. The kitchenette/sitting area has mini-fridge, microwave, toaster, plug-in burner, coffee maker, dishes, small dining table. East-West windows provide light & fresh air. Window A/C in bedroom; electric space heaters.

Outdoor areas: pickleball court, patio & deck, lawn w/ great view of Omena Bay and firepits. Short walk to historic village of Omena with waterside restaurant/bar, tasting room, art gallery, historical museum and public beach.

Ideal base to explore the Leelanau Peninsula. Nearby hiking and biking trails, beaches, rivers for canoeing and fishing, golf, shopping and restaurants, and the magnificent Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.

Sunset Lodge is a short walk to the historic village of Omena. Omena has waterfront restaurant/bar (The Knot), a tasting room (Leelanau Cellars), art gallery, historical museum, small public beach. Near Suttons Bay, Northport and Leland; 20 miles from Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore; 22 miles from Traverse City.

Nearby hiking and biking trails, beaches, rivers for canoeing and fishing, golf, shopping and restaurants, and the magnificent Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. The M-22 Lake Michigan shoreline was voted the best autumn scenic drive in the nation in USA Today poll (October 3, 2015).
