  • I stayed with Des and Sinead for a layover with 2 other friends and had a wonderful time. We only had about 12 hours total in Ireland but the two of them made sure we enjoyed it. Des and Sinead offered tips for visiting and Sinead gave us a ride to the city center to make sure we'd have enough time to have a walk while there was still some daylight - she also gave us a ride back so we didn't have to worry about catching a bus or a cab. They even had a phone ready to lend me if I needed one so we could be in touch about where to meet to be picked up. The two were so kind and welcoming and really made our super quick trip very easy and fun. Their dogs are wonderful absolutely wonderful too! My only regret is that the trip was so short - I would have loved to have had more time to visit Dublin/Ireland and get to spend more time with the two of them.

  • It's impossible to know where to start. Des and Sinead constantly went above and beyond anything we could have imagined for hosts. We were picked up and dropped off from the airport, driven to the bus stop, driven into the nearby towns and given tours, had breakfast cooked for us daily and on top of it all, made some incredible new friends over a couple of pints of Guinness and cider. Staying with Des and Sinead was the highlight of our Ireland experience and the perfect way to end our European vacation, on an incredible high note. The other guests in the house were really great and it was so much fun to meet new people. The bed was super comfortable, the bathroom was impeccable, we were able to do laundry etc etc. I'm trying to get friends to go to Dublin just to stay with these people. If you're considering staying with them, do it, you will not be disappointed. We will be back some day!!! We miss them both already and little Timmy and Cooney as well!!!

  • The room looks exactly like the picture: It's clean, light and airy, tastefully decorated with lots of storage and a comfortable bed.
The hosts are very welcoming and accommodating: They picked us up in Swords at our bus stop from Dublin city, took us to their home, and graciously helped us settle in. After some coffee, Sinead drove us to the town of Malahide, gave up a quick tour by car and agreed to pick up up at 5PM. We enjoyed exploring the town, walking along the coast, walking the castle grounds and eating at a local pub, complete with fireplace fire and the real ambience of Irish small town life.
Once back at the B&B we had a lovely chat around the kitchen table with refreshments, followed by a refreshing night's sleep.
Next morning, Des prepared a great breakfast and Sinead delivered us to the airport to catch our flight.
What a wonderful way to experience our last day in Ireland!! We couldn't have asked for more--a great place and two super people to help you enjoy it to the fullest.

  • Des and Sinead provided our first impression of Irish hospitality and of airbnb. It will be hard to beat! We completely enjoyed our stay in their clean, warm home, and the unexpected special attention and care shown by them, made us feel like friends rather than simply guests. Highly recommended. We plan to return!

  • Des and Sinead went out of there way to make sure we got about, showed us around and transported us to and fro to airport. They went above and beyond to help us. Good Luck to both.

  • Des and Sinead are terrific! They went above and beyond for us. Sinead helped us with getting the right change for the bus, she drove us to the bus stop and showed us how to walk home from it. They helped us with maps and sights in Dublin. And finally, on our departure to the airport, Sinead, took us on a short sightseeing tour of the local castle and the coast. We don't consider ourselves high maintenance guests, but these gestures were simply the exceptional hospitality and concern that Des and Sinead have for their guests. The room was very comfortable and everthing was sparkling clean. HIGHLY recommend.

  • Des and Sinead are the best hosts that we have encountered, bar none. They far exceeded our expectations. Not only are they incredibly warn, generous and open, they are people that we would love to call friends. We have travelled as a family for three weeks throughout a good portion of Europe. I had lived there before but it was a first for my husband and children. I wanted them to have a wonderful experience. Des and Sinead were a great part of that. We stayed in 6 air bnb locations throughout our European stay. Some were wonderful and some were lacking to say the least. To end our stay with Des and Sinead made up for any and all glitches we may have encountered.
I can't say enough about the two of them. Anyone that stays with them will feel blessed. I only hope that someday we can host them here in Toronto.

  • Like others who have stayed with Des and Sinead, I was 100% impressed with the attention and care that I received while I stayed with them. The night before I was scheduled to arrive to their place (very late the night before), my plans changed and I sent them a message. I didn't expect a response until the next morning, but I was surprised to hear back within 10 or 15 minutes. They were so flexible about changes in my arrival time, as well as the number of guests staying. They were fair about the change in reservation fee, as well.

When we arrived, Des and Sinead talked to us about the best way to make the most of our time in Dublin (and told us all about the buses, gave us a map to get around, and shared some tips), and Sinead even drove us to the bus stop so we could quickly get to the city center. As we waited for the bus, we saw it drive by us (oh no!). Though Sinead could have left us to wait for the next one, she caught up to the bus and made sure we got onto it...amazing!

My friend and I were sick, and Des and Sinead stayed up until we got home and made sure we had a warm cup of tea and medicine after a cold, rainy, windy day exploring Dublin.

My flight left at 6:30 the next day, and even though we told Des he didn't need to wake up at that ungodly hour, he was up at 4:15am making sure we were up and getting ready to get to the airport on time. By the time we were dressed, he had prepared a cup of tea and was warming bagels and toast for us.

Des and Sinead were a perfect combination of attentive and warm while simultaneously allowing us privacy. They are amazing hosts, and deserve all the wonderful reviews (and more) that they've already received. I would most definitely stay with them again!

  • Des and Sinead were a great host and hostess. They made the start of our trip to Ireland and Scotland very memorable. They made us feel very comfortable from the very start and went out of their way to be helpful. Their accommodations were spacious and clean. We would stay with them again without hesittation.
