The Space

We have a bright, comfy apartment conveniently situated mid-way between the airport and downtown Portland (10 minutes by car in either direction). Being travelers ourselves, we designed it with the traveler in mind. It's your own private space so it's not cluttered with our personal things, but full of our personal touches. You have plenty of empty closets, hooks and cubbies to spread out comfortably, as well as clean linens, hair dryer, iron, etc. Anything we didn't think of? We're always available by phone, text or email if there's anything you need. Just let us know! The apartment will accommodate up to four people with the convertible couch, but it feels a little crowded with more than two; it's really ideal for a couple.

It has a private entrance with keyless entry so let us know what you want your code to be and that will get you in the door when you arrive. The space includes a bedroom, a living room with a kitchenette and a big bathroom where you can take a shower or soak in the tub. The kitchenette has everything you need for your morning coffee or tea and a quick bite before heading out for the day, and then heat up your leftovers for a midnight snack when you return. Relax on the couch, see what's on TV (extensive cable), catch up on your email (hi speed WI-FI), play some board games, listen to some music on the record player or radio...then sink into the luxurious queen size bed for a good night's sleep.

This is a private apartment so of course we are all about respecting your privacy at all times, but if you see us in the yard, come on out and say hi if you feel like it. We love making new friends and sharing stories! You're welcome to hang out in the front yard at any time but we ask that you only share our backyard with us when we're present, only because our 2 dogs are sneaky and will take any opportunity to slip out the gate for an adventure.

You have exclusive use of the driveway to park your car (a few steps from your entrance), or rent a zip car (1 mile), or rent a bike (1 mile) or ride the bus (2 blocks). Or just walk over to the Beaumont/Wilshire area coffee shops, restaurants, bars, shopping, etc -don't forget to check out our neighborhood guidebook here on Airbnb for personal recommendations and maps to get you there.

  • Zoe and Jonathan are so nice to welcome us with extra fan and beer as it was hot when we arrived. I had a very comfortable stay in this cozy and lovely place! Will surely choose this place again the next time when I plan to Portland!

  • This place is legit. It's a bit off the beaten path but so is most of portland. It's located in a quiet neighborhood and the house is amazing. It's super mid century modern with portland flair. Do not get a hotel get this place. P.S. We met Zoe and Jonathan they are really nice, friendly and super authentic. I wish we lived next to them. Be warned, once you stay for a night you will start looking to sell your own house

We've been meaning to put together a little instruction manual of sorts for in there so we will include that. Thanks for the feedback!

  • This was my first Airbnb experience and the next place will have a lot to live up to! I only got to chat with Zoe briefly, but she was warm and welcoming. Especially being a female traveling alone, I felt very safe.

The place is wonderful. Most times when traveling, I do whatever I can to spend as little time in my hotel room as possible. Here, I actually found myself looking forward to coming back and curling up on the couch to read a book after a long day of exploring the city. I also appreciated the comfy bed, the snacks, and the wide selection of bath/body products available for my use.

I would definitely stay here again!

  • Although we didn't cross paths, Zoe and Jonathan were amazing hosts. Entry into their lovely home was smooth and without difficulty. Their home is well decorated with the culture of Portland. They even provided some local beer for us! If we ever find ourselves in Portland again, I'd be sure to check if Zoe and Jonathan's place is available first. Thank you!!

  • Zoe & Jonathon's place was PERFECT!
Everything you need when visiting in Portland. Me and two other girls shared the space and it was perfect! Super organized, clean, comfy beds and cutely decorated with tonnes of Portland character and parking right out front- i would definitely stay there again. There isn't a full kitchen (no stove, but fridge and fully stocked with everything else) so might not be for those that plan on cooking full meals during their stay- but who wants to do that in PORTLAND anyway? There are so many killer restaurants and places to eat at, cooking would be a crime! Zoe is great- had everything ready for us and even came by to say hi! Thanks again Zoe!

  • My husband and I stayed two nights at the tall pines tuck away. The space was just like the pictures showed: clean, spacious, and cute. We loved how roomy it was and the bed was super comfortable. This was our first time in Portland so we didn't realize how spread out the city was. I don't think we would stay on this side of town next time because it was off the beaten path and we enjoy being able to walk to things.

We have spent most of our lives moving around and visiting various places around the world until finally joining forces in 2010 for a cross country road trip in search of a new place to settle. The natural beauty and local culture is what drew us to Portland and now that we've been living here for a couple years, we're sure we made the right choice! We love photography, movies, dogs, bike riding, road trips, camping, canoeing, snowboarding, and rummaging through estate sales for odd things to put in our house.
