Easy going couple that loves to help people travel for a great price. Look forward to hearing from you.
Quiet, centrally located 2 bedroom condo in Boulder just 1 and a half miles from downtown. Our place is filled with light and art, and is a fantastic place to relax. The upstairs stays bright all day and the bedrooms are on the garden level, which keeps them cooler in the summer time. The guest bedroom has curtains to keep the sun out if you like to sleep in, and a closet to hang some of your clothes. We have a well-equipped kitchen which you are more than welcome to use (the grocery store is two blocks away), just be sure to clean up afterward. Our washer and dryer are available for you to use as well.
There is no extra charge for a couple, but sorry, we don't allow any pets. Also within walking distance are some of Boulder's best restaurants like Arugula, Tangerine, and 100% Mexicano. The bike path, access to public transportation, and a park are just a block away when you want to go exploring.
If you're up for adventure, we are a short 1.8 mile walk to the start of the Goat Path which takes you up to Mt. Sanitas, where you can see all of Boulder and the start of the Rockies. We also have some extra bikes if you want to use them while you are staying with us.
We are a laid back couple who both do freelance work, and we pretty much bike everywhere unless we need to use a car. It really is that close to everything! So if you're feeling productive, you're more than welcome to join us while we work (yes, we have WiFi), or you can take advantage of one of the many coffee shops within walking distance. There's really no better place to be in Boulder.
Thanks for looking at our place. We hope to see you soon!
One bike is available to use with notice, we have wifi and the bus is right out the door pretty much. Walking distance to restaurants, grocery store and more
When you are at our place we will not bother you, though if you want to chat please feel free.
Our neighborhood is quiet and nice. We have a park around the corner and the bike path and bus are right here too. Our neighborhood is safe and close to pretty much anything you need.
Bus, bike/walking path are right next store.
Thanks to Paul & Katie, I had two great weeks in Boulder! Nice and friendly couple. Very relaxed and easygoing. Everything is clean and tidy. I wholeheartedly recommend to stay with them during your time in town....
We did not have much communication with Katie or Paul except a initial introduction after arriving home from dinner. Paul was quiet but Katie was very friendly and willing to help us with anything needed. There was a initial miscommunication with arrival time, but it all worked out and we were able to coordinate just fine! We appreciated their flexibility and a clean/comfortable room to spend the night in!
In Boulder for a weekend retreat and just needed a close-by place to sleep. Couldn't have been more perfect. Fabulous bed with soft linens, good thick bath towels. Everything is very clean. Night time was dark and quiet. Super glad you two have made some home space available for wanderers of all kinds. But then it seems you know something about travel and have a keen eye for quirk - I appreciated that too. Thanks!
We stayed with Katie and Paul over the weekend. They are really nice, Katie is more talkative and Paul seems to be a more private person. We appreciated the cleanliness of the place s lot, since we don't like to be messy ourselves. Overall, there is a lot of interesting art hanging on the walls, or pieces of nice furniture. When we were not outside, we always saw something new and interesting that we did not spot at first. Really nice place!
Paul and Katie have such a lovely home and the room is so comfortable! There are even tourist guides in the room from other travelers. Unfortunately we didn't see Paul and Katie much because we went to bed early but they were very hospitable.
As we didn't have any internet connection or i-phone it was difficult to check the arrival time with Paul. When we finally got there we head a clean and cosy room in a safe and quiet neighborhood. If you walk fast you're in the lovely Downtown of Boulder within 15 to 20 min. - that was perfectly ok for us.
I didn't have a chance to meet Kate, but Paul was very unfriendly. I waited in Boulder downtown for an hour before I can check in at 6pm. I arrived the place at 6pm but then Paul did not pick up the calls. Finally, Paul picked up the call and he was very cold when telling me how to drive to the front door. After all the mess, I opened the door and Paul greeted me with "Did you knock?" (with a cold and angry face - no kidding). I was really surprise as he just saw me from the window 3 minutes before and asked me to "come in". This is my first experience in airbnb that the host is so unfriendly. (I'd say I am an experienced airbnb user as I stayed in 8 different hosts before and they were all very nice..)
Paul did not introduce the facilities with me, apart from pointing my room, the bathroom and left me the key. I used the bathroom as introduced, then I got an angry note the next morning saying I should only use the sink on the right side. I was very frustrated. This is certainly my worst experience in airbnb.
My friend and I scheduled a three-day stay here but from the snooty text that said we should have checked in first before stopping for dinner after the airport, to the way Paul opened the door and greeted us with a cold stare, my friend and I decided it wasn't worth staying in a house with such a chilly atmosphere. Katie seemed friendly enough, but Paul was not friendly in the least.
Warm artistic house, Great Bed & Comfy blankets! Enjoyed the array of reading material. Even though it was a very short visit Katie & Paul were welcoming & sweet. Thanks!!
Wonderful house, great location. Hosts were gracious and accommodating. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.
