Looking to help out travelers that are easy going, don't need attention and are looking for an inexpensive place to stay while traveling. Please treat us and our place like it was your parents place you were staying at.
Quiet, centrally located 2 bedroom condo in Boulder just 1 and a half miles from downtown. Our place is filled with light and art, and is a fantastic place to relax. The upstairs stays bright all day and the bedrooms are on the garden level, which keeps them cooler in the summer time. The guest bedroom has curtains to keep the sun out if you like to sleep in, and a closet to hang some of your clothes. We have a well-equipped kitchen which you are more than welcome to use (the grocery store is two blocks away), just be sure to clean up afterward. Our washer and dryer are available for you to use as well.
There is no extra charge for a couple, but sorry, we don't allow any pets. Also within walking distance are some of Boulder's best restaurants like Arugula, Tangerine, and 100% Mexicano. The bike path, access to public transportation, and a park are just a block away when you want to go exploring.
If you're up for adventure, we are a short 1.8 mile walk to the start of the Goat Path which takes you up to Mt. Sanitas, where you can see all of Boulder and the start of the Rockies. We also have some extra bikes if you want to use them while you are staying with us.
We are a laid back couple who both do freelance work, and we pretty much bike everywhere unless we need to use a car. It really is that close to everything! So if you're feeling productive, you're more than welcome to join us while we work (yes, we have WiFi), or you can take advantage of one of the many coffee shops within walking distance. There's really no better place to be in Boulder.
Thanks for looking at our place. We hope to see you soon!
One bike is available to use with notice, we have wifi and the bus is right out the door pretty much. Walking distance to restaurants, grocery store and more
Interaction with Guests
When you are at our place we will not bother you, though if you want to chat please feel free.
Our neighborhood is quiet and nice. We have a park around the corner and the bike path and bus are right here too. Our neighborhood is safe and close to pretty much anything you need.
Bus, bike/walking path are right next store.
Other Things to Note
Please make sure you arrange a check in time at least one day in advance. Also if you book with us please read the directions to our place as GPS will not get you there. If you do not do this I can not be responsible for you not finding our place. Thank you.
Please pick up after yourself, do your dishes and shut off the lights. Don't leave your hair in the shower drain and please use the fan in the bathroom. We keep a clean and organized house so we ask that you help in that by picking up after yourself. If you need anything from us please ask, we're here to help. Other than that, our house is your house and we can't wait to meet you!

Unfortunately this wasn't a great Airbnb experience. This is partly my fault since I just didn't check the latest reviews of this place which basically said the same things that we have to say: we just didn't feel welcome in Paul's home from the minute we met him. We had the impression that it even was a burden for him to show us the apartment. We didn't see him again during our stay and we never saw a sign of Katie. After reading all the instruction in the bathroom on how to use it and how to keep it clean we were kind of surprised when we woke up one morning and found dog poop on the bathroom floor. The location is alright and the apartment is clean but this was not the Airbnb experience I am looking for...
Place was easy to find. No sign of Katie. The bed was comfy and the shower was clean. Paul seemed grumpy. Only talked to him on initial intro. Didn't see him the rest of the time. This place is pretty much just a bed and a shower. Not much "hosting" going on.
If you are looking for a basic hotel experience, but with a shared bathroom and no heat, this is definitely the place for you!!! I don't know if our host was just not up for having guests that night or if my mind reading skills simply failed me here, but either way, now I know some Airbnb hosts prefer to hand you a key on their schedule and go back to their busy lives. We stayed in your room except for using the bathroom and went out for the night, then showered and left the key on the dresser in the morning.
We were hoping to make a new acquaintance and learn a little about Boulder from an insider perspective... maybe we did the latter ;) It was a bed though and there was a nice bottle of water by the bed, kept cool and refreshing by the bracing chill of the bedroom, summer stays are probably very comfortable.
I agree with Shannon's review below. He shouldn't host his home if he can't be a host.
The house is clean, comfortable and as described, no real issues checking in or out. Paul was a nice host and respected privacy.
I would not recommend staying with this host. My partner and I came to visit Boulder for the first time and immediately felt deeply unwelcomed by Paul to the point where we felt like more of a burden than a guest. Paul does not communicate via phone…I do not have a smart phone, which made communication very confusing. The room looks much larger and brighter in the picture than it is. It is a subterranean room, and could get quite chilly. Although the listing is for Katie and Paul, Katie was no where to be found. Paul was in and out, but in any interaction we had, never once asked how we were enjoying ourselves and instead spoke only to things we'd not done to his standards, all of which seemed unreasonable and passive aggressive, none of which were communicated prior to. We felt uncomfortable in his space the entire time. Not worth the amount I paid. Not an ounce of hospitality.
Hey, we're Paul & Katie from Connecticut and NYC (respectively). We are creative people who run a small design and videography/photography company called 23rd Studios. Clean, quiet, independent, and respectful. If we're not out and about, we're on our computers. You'll probably see us while you're here.
We travel a lot, and when we do, we usually just need a simple place with good vibes to crash. As visitors at different AirBnB places across the country we've really valued being able to go grocery shopping and use a kitchen, along with having a local person to ask questions and get perspective on the town. That's why we offer the same things to our guests.
Boulder is a great place and we know you'll have a fantastic time here. Hope to see you soon!
If you do decide to stay with us please read the directions sent to you by airbnb on how to get to our place. Because you will not find the front door if you don't. Please read the directions...
