Villa Chiara is the home of a family who loves travelling, art and nature.
We were ourselves guests in familiar touristic structures in many European countries and we hailed with joy the arrival in Italy of this kind of hospitality, so that we immediately decided to join it...but, this time, as innkeepers!
In this way it seems to us to breathe the air of travels all over the year, even when we are at home.
For the same reason (sometimes we run the risk to sleep in the car) we accept guests even just for one night, we are almost always open and if we are fully booked, we are able to help you in finding another place. We are closed only when we leave the role of innkeepers to take the one of travelers, and in that case, you’ll find on the door the telephone number of structures similar to ours.
The room furniture is made up of family antiques (one of which is for guests), the room has a double bed, a comfortable chair, two windows. The bathroom is equipped with a shower room and comfortable. Price 67 € per night for two people.
. The facilities and services are very recent and well made.
We love animals, so that they are consequently very welcome here. We permanently host three cats, 7 fishes and, in our garden, there are several hives.
Here you can get information not only about places to visit nearby Montepulciano, but also in the beautiful nearby Umbria.
Only 2 minutes walk from Porta al Prato, which gives access to the course of the Pearl of the Cinquecento with its fine Renaissance palaces, local restaurants and shops. Only a minute walk separates the building from the garden Poggiofanti, from the supermarket, the bus station (take the Chiusi train station), the square of the market on Thursday, the center of the elevator.
Guests can park in front of the structure of the last parking fee before the Old Town which is closed to traffic. Bikers and cyclists can leave their vehicles in the garden of Villa Clara. For the lazy from the nearby bus station is also possible to quickly arrive at the Piazza Grande at the top of the country with urban buses.
Given the strategic position of Villa Clara is a great starting point for excursions by car in the area (eg, Pienza and Val d'Orcia in 20 minutes) and at the same time to visit the city 'of Montepulciano for dinner or to reach on foot its restaurants.
My guests over who will have access to their room corner for reading and from there to the terrace overlooking the garden and the countryside (also useful for those who want to smoke). They can also go into the garden to read a book under our Spruce or enjoying the sun in our beach chairs and armchairs.
I like that in a maximum 15-minute walk can reach Piazza Grande, in two minutes in the center. I like that in a minute I walk in the countryside. I like that they are close to all kinds of services without the need to use the car.
lla Clare is in a great location for visiting the area, the rooms are comfortable but essentially it offers just a place to sleep and rest between visits to the other. Do not expect anything more 'and above all respected the rest of the other guests avoiding making unnecessary noise more so if returned late at night.
Manuela does not speak very much English but if you brush up on a few Italian phrases you will be perfectly fine! Manuela was also super helpful in pointing out places that we should visit within the town and how to best navigate Montepulciano's windy streets :) The apartment was also great, perfect amount of space, and although the room is dated it was not unappealing.
Grazie!
Great place. Convenient location right outside city walls with parking. Easy to find. Clean, private bathroom, perfect for our stay!
My boyfriend and I decided to travel to Montepulciano at the last minute instead of going to Florence. And was I ever glad we did! Manuela graciously accepted our reservation request and was a lovely host - she even drive us to the train station on our last day because the buses weren't running. Montepulciano is a magical city and Manuela's room is a great place to explore from. Highly recommended :)
Great host, great accommodation excellent location especially if you get to Montepulciano by car.
Manuela's rooms are in a great spot of Montepulciano, just a couple minutes away from the heart of the town. Our ensuite room was very spacious, bright and clean. Besides, Manuela and her husband are absolutely lovely hosts, and they helped us a lot in organizing our trip in the area.
