About This Listing
A Jr. 1 Br that sleeps 4 but is perfect for 2. It's views are totally awesome, the building Bohemian and the neighbors super friendly.
We are currently expanding the kitchen and bath!
At the moment, we are remodeling to create a larger kitchen dining space and a 30% larger bathroom as well as a dedicated entry / sunroom. We should be done mid May and will be accepting rentals of 30 days or more. If you like what you see now, you will LOVE what we've done to it by May!
This place is perched on the southern side of Telegraph Hill overlooking downtown and the Bay Bridge. It has astounding views of the new Bay Bridge Lights project.
The actual apt is located in the middle of the property, off street. The neighbors are very friendly, young families mixed with "old salts" who have been mainstays of the neighborhood for decades. The building is on a cul de sac at the top of a garden with steps, largely run by the neighborhood association.
The whole apartment has heavy curtains for late sleepers. The futon couch folds out to a very comfortable bed with a memory foam mattress topper. The lounge chair also folds down to make a 3rd bed option.
The dining room table seats 6 and the outdoor patio area seats 4. There is a very efficient lovely kitchen and a BBQ on the porch. The bathroom is small but fully functional with bath in case taking them is your kind of thing.
The location could not be better for San Francisco. Many iconic spots nearby and most of the main tourist activities within walking distance.
Dogs accepted at our discretion. Please inquire. However, if there is any question about whether your dog is truly "quiet" or "well mannered", please be honest and don't bring your beastie if you think it might be an issue. SF is dense so people tend to notice these things. Also, be aware that there are occasional neighborhood off leash dogs at our end of the cul de sac out for walks. If you bring your dog, just be aware of that.

Interaction with Guests
We love to meet our guests when we have the opportunity.
You will probably meet our neighbor who lives in the front building with his dog and is sort of the Mayor of the street. He's very nice, has lived there 30 years and knows everyone and everything about the neighborhood!
North Beach is awesome. Grant St. is like a mini Bourbon St. and the food options between Little Italy and Chinatown are excellent. The Ferry Building with its Farmer's Market on Thursday and Saturday is very close. The famous Fisherman's Wharf is a 10 minute walk.
Columbus and Stockton are major transit routes. Uber, Sidecar, Lyft, Flywheel and Summon give you access to amazing private transport options.
Other Things to Note
Due to heavy travel we appreciate a sparse lifestyle and keep most if not all owner stuff out of your way. It'll feel like "your" pad in SF!
Steep hills and stairs define North Beach / Telegraph Hill. Bring some good shoes and be prepared to use them!
After a lot of research, we settled on SebaMed bath and shower products for our guests. We think they represent the highest quality / value combination and though they aren't "cheap" we think its important to treat people right.
We are Amazon Fresh members. If you are arriving late with a family or for any other reason, would like the kitchen to be pre-stocked, we can handle that. Many of our guests like to have the basics on hand for their stay so please don't hesitate to ask.
I would highly recommend using Uber to travel around the city. The service / experience is beyond excellent and many steps above our yellow cab service. If you are heading to the airport and need an Uber and don't have the app, I'm happy to order one for you (you can leave me cash in the apt).
This is a shared building with 4 other owners. Though we own this flat, we want to be sure and respect our co-owners and neighbors. The best way to do that is to keep the volume, in all respects, to a minimum and don't host anyone who is not staying with you. There are plenty of cafes and bars within a block for socializing.
If you have any questions about any of this, please call us first to clear anything up. Thanks!

This apartment truly has the most spectacular views of San Francisco I've ever seen - the entire bay bridge, the Embarcadero, East Bay, and Downtown. You can even enjoy watching the Trans-America Building from the shower! There are windows everywhere to take in the view. For being a small apartment, we (my husband, 80 lbs dog, and I) had plenty of room! As a bonus, you will have thighs of steel after staying here for a week. Vallejo is a steep hill and then there are flights of stairs to reach the apartment. The location is absolutely ideal - near Cafe Trieste, Molinari, downtown, Chinatown, etc. We loved seeing the 37 or so wild parrots of Telegraph Hill, who truly showed up every day around 3:30. They landed on our arms and ate from our hands. How magical is that? Dennis, downstairs, was very nice and very helpful. We hope to return!

Great base camp for exploring the city on foot! Parrots and friends visited each morning and the views while having breakfast outside refreshed the body each morning. Don't forget to stop by Cafe Trieste at the start of each day's adventure for a wonderful cappuccino and hang with the original locals!! Props to Tommy who responded promptly when we couldn't get in the door.
Amazing views, centrally located. Would stay here again next time I'm in SF.
The view of this apartment simply cannot be surpassed. Perfect flat for watching the sunset on the Bay Bridge and all the lights flicker on over the city while sipping a glass of wine on the private patio. You are on the top floor of the building and being so high on the hill, you feel like you are looking over the whole city. So beautiful, and such a charming apartment.
This apartment has 1st rate views, is spacious clean and functional. The location is by far one of the best if at a conference in San Fransisco. Convenient to walk to Embarcadero, down town etc.
