  • This huge house is a real beauty. It stands next to the old center of La Orotava. You can get anywhere on foot. You can use the kitchen , the garden and the roof terrace which has great views and is a nice meeting place with other hosts ( I had a great time there ! ) . as I am slightly disabled, Miguel was particularly helpful when Juan was away . I am really grateful. He even prepared my breakfast the morning I left !! . Thank you both Juan and Miguel for your hospitality . I really recommand the Marqui's house and hope to be back some time.

  • My stay at Juan's house was amazing. The house is beautiful and idyllic- from the well-equipped kitchen and cosy living room with rocking chairs to the rooftop terrace boasting views of the city and mountains. What i most enjoyed however, was the feeling like you were part of a family. Juan and Miguel are very accommodating and open, with plenty of knowledge of the surrounding towns Loved seeing the El Teide with Juan and sharing a cup of coffee on a number of occasions . My room was an en-suite overlooking the garden and was very pleased with the view and with the overall experience.

  • We liked it a lot in Juans wonderful house. The house ist spacious and very aesthetical. We stayed for about a week in La Orotave without a car and were surprised about the many possibilities to get around the island for hiking. Also La Orotava is a very nice place tos stay and eat out.
Juan is a very helpul host!

  • The Marquis' House is a fine example of the stately homes of Oratava.

It was cold and damp in the bedrooms and could do with a good clean as could the kitchen.

I will be fine in warm weather when the rooms will be warm and probably not damp.

It will need a woman's touch though to get the standard of cleanliness up to scratch.

Oratava is a very good town to explore the North part of the island , and no part is more than 90 minutes drive away.

Allez-y!

  • My friend and I were astounded by the beauty of this grand home! Staying in such a beautiful, historically significant building was a unique experience that really added to our experience of La Orotava. Thank you to Juan and Miguel for your time and care. I highly recommend a stay at the Marquis' House, you will not be disappointed.

  • We found the Marquis House very authentic and style full. Juan is a very hospitable and caring host. This historical house is located in the charming and stylish center of Orotava (much more picturesque then nearby Puerto de Cruz). It is very spacious and we had a good (bath)room and bed. The living rooms and roof terrace is also very nice! Needless to say we had a pleasant stay.

  • We stayed for 3 days at Juans house, and even if he wasn't there, he was very helpful via e-mails. The house is wonderful- and huge, an very central in the town of Orotava. We were very lucky to find this place. Takk Juan & Miguel!
