  • Maria's flat is fantastic. It is well situated in Trastevere down a quiet street, so you can enjoy all that Trastevere has to offer without the noise. It's then a short walk across the river to Piazza Navona, Campo di Fiori, etc. The place is fairly spacious - I never felt cramped. It's newly renovated, so everything is in good working condition, such as the washing machine and dishwasher. The wifi connection works well too. And as a host, Maria is very welcoming and a pleasure to deal with. She runs things well.

The only catch is the electricity bill. If staying for a longer period, you should budget extra money. There is a built-in allowance into the rate. However, it is only appropriate for shorter stays. I was an extended stay guest, was out of Rome for half of the time, did not use heat over the winter, and still ended up with a chunky charge to pay last minute.

  • This apartment was great! It was very clean, spacious and secure. The surrounding area also has a lot to offer. Easy walking distance for sight seeing as well as cafes and restaurants. Maria's restaurant recommendations were also excellent! I would definately stay here if I visit Rome again.

  • PERFECT spot to stay during your Roman vacation. The apartment is every bit as lovely as it looks in the photos, spacious, clean, and totally comfortable. We loved this place.

Location is superb. Trastevere is chock a block with excellent cafes and restaurants frequented by locals - miles more charming and less busy than the centro storico. Major attractions like St. Peter's Basilica or The Forum are within a ten minute walk.

Maria herself is endlessly kind and helpful. One of our party lost a bag, and Maria jumped in to help us deal with the situation, going above and beyond! She has a place to stay if ever she comes to Vancouver. :)

  • Fantastic apartment, great location. Well located to enjoy the Trastevere district, including bars and restaurants on your doorstep. And within walking distant to all the major tourist attractions. Maria was a wonderful host who helped us with directions to the apartment and provided a comprehensive guidebook. The apartment is as good as it looks in the photos! Very clean, tidy and spacious and fully self contained. Would highly recommend and stay again if ever in Rome!

  • The Trastevere Luxury - Fab Apartment was GREAT! We made it our home away from home for three wonderful weeks. Maria always responded promptly to any messages prior to the trip and stayed in touch with us as we traveled to Italy. The driver for the shuttle we booked through her was waiting for us right where she said he would be. We requested a 7am checkout time -- and it was right on time.

The apartment is very conveniently located ... very close to public transportation and walking distance to the major sights. The amenities make one feel right at home. There is a market close by,which makes it convenient to buy groceries if you want to prepare meals in the apartment. The kitchen is very well equipped.

There are a lot of eateries in the area and constant activity, but the sounds of the vibrant neighborhood were not heard in the apartment.

The information book Maria provided was very helpful and the WI-Fi made it easy to stay connected.

I would definitely book with Maria again.

I believe that travelling has the power to heal, energize and improve the world, and I’m proud to be a part of this community. I was born in Rome and raised in Pompeii as both my parents are archaeologists. I moved back to Rome 15 years ago. My interests are travels, food, photography, foreign languages and my favorite hobby is home design and interior decorating, I enjoy anything creative! I love Italian, Japanese, Russian and Greek food, I also like to cook. Travel is definitely my biggest passion and it has taken me and my long time boyfriend Federico to about twenty countries along the five continents. When I travel, I look for places that are not ultra touristy. I want to experience the restaurants and bars that the locals know and love. I'm hoping that you seek the same. I can recommend some really cool places and things to see/eat/do if you'd like. I absolutely love Rome and I am the biggest ambassador for it. I love to welcome people from all over the world to this great city so they can share the love that I have for it as well! I've had some amazing people from all over the world stay at my place and look forward to hosting you. See you soon in Rome!
