It is located in a quiet area despite being in the heart of Trastevere.
Just outside the apartment block is Piazza San Cosimato where there is a large fruit and vegetable market every morning except Sundays. Here you will find not only fruit and vegetable stalls, but also cheeses, flowers, various other edible products such as olives, nuts, bread, pizza, and on and on. On Sunday mornings the famous Roman flee market Porta Portese is literally five minutes walk away. Here there are some real antiques, bric-a-brac, new and old clothes, and oddities of all sorts.
Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere is the most popular gathering place in the area. In this square you will find the church Santa Maria in Trastevere, one of the oldest and most beautiful churches in Rome and very much worth a visit. The neighbouring streets have a variety of stores, restaurants, and service-oriented businesses as well as beautiful residences.
Equidistant from the Coliseum and the Vatican, Trastevere is the ideal place to discover the secrets of Rome on foot. Saint Peter's and the Vatican are about twenty minutes away and upon crossing the Tiber you get to Campo dei Fiori, Piazza Navona, the Spanish Steps, the Roman Forum, and many other sights in no time at all. If you want to take public transportation, the area is extremely well served by the tram and the electric buses of Rome.

We had a 4 night stay at Maria's appartement.
Location is perfect, very centrical, closeby every touritic spot by walking.
The apartment is well furnished and quiet.
Transfert from airport were very easy and fast thank's to Maria's driver.
Notice that you have to pay 30€ by cash for checkin after 9 pm, and have to leave the place at 10 in the morning.
The cleaning ladies came at 9h45 and made us hurry to leave the flat.
(the driver kept our luggage till the pickup time we asked)
We had a great time there and would recommend it to stay.
Maria was most welcoming, organising transport for us from the airport and although we arrived late, her very friendly and helpful housekeeper was there to meet us. The apartment was lovely, as in the description but larger than we expected. The bed was very comfortable. The apartment was perfectly fitted out for our needs, including coffee and supplies for our breakfast the first morning as well as cooking basics such as oil and vinegar. Trastevere was lively with many bars and restaurants, handy supermarket etc, but the apartment itself was quiet, even with windows open.
First of all, this is a fantastic apartment. It looks even better in real life than it does in the pictures, it is spotless clean. The housekeeper made us feel very welcome and Maria herself called over to help us when we had trouble making the fold out bed. It is situated in a lovely neighbourhood, close (20-30 min walk) to all the main sites (Pantheon, Forum, Colosseum, Vatican etc). Trastavere itself is a great place to just wander around and there are loads of great restaurants, very close (2-4 min walk away) and supermarkets and a local market are close-by also. Stay here and you will not be disappointed. We loved it!
The Fab apartment really lived up to its name. It is a really lovely, stylish apartment in a lively and interesting neighbourhood of Rome, with lots of bars, restaurants and markets nearby. We had a great time in Rome, Maria was a very helpful host who always responded to requests very quickly, and organised the transfers to and from the airport with Fabrizio which made our visit go very smoothly.
Maria is an incredible host in every sense of the word. Before our trip even began she sent us a packet of information on the area, and answered all of our questions regarding transportation to and from the airport. The apartment was immaculately clean and beautiful. The spaces are beautifully done, and provide a gracious amount of space. The bed was very comfortable, and each room has individual temperature control which was a great convenience. Trastevere is a great area that is definitely walk-able to all of the attractions and amazing to explore! We have already recommended this place to our friends and family that are planning trips to Rome over the next few months, and hope to stay here again in the future!

About the Host, Maria
I believe that travelling has the power to heal, energize and improve the world, and I’m proud to be a part of this community.
I was born in Rome and raised in Pompeii as both my parents are archaeologists.
I moved back to Rome 15 years ago. My interests are travels, food, photography, foreign languages and my favorite hobby is home design and interior decorating, I enjoy anything creative!
I love Italian, Japanese, Russian and Greek food, I also like to cook.
Travel is definitely my biggest passion and it has taken me and my long time boyfriend Federico to about twenty countries along the five continents.
When I travel, I look for places that are not ultra touristy. I want to experience the restaurants and bars that the locals know and love.
I'm hoping that you seek the same. I can recommend some really cool places and things to see/eat/do if you'd like.
I absolutely love Rome and I am the biggest ambassador for it. I love to welcome people from all over the world to this great city so they can share the love that I have for it as well!
I've had some amazing people from all over the world stay at my place and look forward to hosting you.
See you soon in Rome!
