Visiting Vatican Museums, St. Peter's Basilica and Castel Sant'angelo will be very easy because the house is located in the middle of a quiet private road, very close to the Vatican City and the Basilica of St. Peter, the Vatican Museums and Castel Sant'Angelo are only a short walking distance from here.
The Rione Prati doesn't offer simply a wonderful nightlife with its wide variety of public places, but also gathers many very different touristic treasures in a cozy area, thus creating a charming contrast between the ancient and the modern in all its splendor. In fact, the whole area is crowded with historical buildings dating back to the mid-nineteenth century. Nearly all of them have artistic treasures hidden in their aisles, including paintings, ancient mosaics, religious icons and sculptures, all of which are open to the public free of charge.
Italy is known world wide for its excellence in food and wine and Rome, as its capital, offers a huge number of trattorias, restaurants, and typical Italian tavernas. At night, strolling around the romantic streets of Rome choosing the most suitable place to eat is an unforgettable experience, so if you are looking for something in particular just check out the various menus posted on the doorway of each restaurant and find the one that suits you best. On the other hand, if you prefer some advice, consider trying out a few of my personal favorite places listed in the welcome note. Nearby, you will also find several well known shopping streets such as Via Candia, Via Ottaviano and Via Cola di Rienzo that, with all their tailor-shops and shoe-shops, will allow you to buy whatever you may desire.
The apartment is located in a central district of Rome and it is 300 meters far from the Metro Station Cipro (Underground). In addition to its proximity to the Metro, the flat is also very close to the bus stop of Viale delle Medaglie d’Oro, about 50 meters, where it is possible to take several bus lines (phone number hidden)) which connect the area with the other districts of the city center.

Our family of five stayed at Mirko's apartment in Roma for 4 nights. It was our first airbnb experience and it was perfect! His apartment is about a 5 min walk from the Cipro metro stop and about a 10 min walk from the Vatican. There are also markets and banks/ATMs located nearby, we frequented a minimart just right across the street. Mirko was very accommodating during our stay. He came by everyday to check if there was anything we needed, took out the trash, etc. He even printed our museum tickets for us! He also has a lot of information at the apt including travel guides, tours, subway directions, nearby restaurants/markets, maps, places to see, etc and was informative on any questions we had about seeing Roma. When we arrived, he had fruit, milk, a traditional Italian dessert box, and other goodies ready for us. That was very thoughtful. Also, we accidentally broke the handles on two cups (I know, we can get clumsy haha) but he was so understanding about it. He even let us keep our luggage for a few hours at the apt after checkout as our flight was leaving late evening. He is truly a great host. We had the most enjoyable stay and would definitely recommend this place to stay. The place is perfect, decorated very tastefully and chic. Thank you Mirko for the best time!
Mirko's apartment was very clean and nice. Mirko's communication was prompt and helpful leading up to our stay. The location is perfect, few blocks from the Vatican city and the metro station is one street away as well. We enjoyed our stay a lot, hopefully we will return :) Thank you, Mirko!
My parents, wife, and I stayed here for a week, and it was exactly what we wanted. The apartment is very clean and quiet and is in a good location--only 6-7 minutes or so on foot from the metro and within easy walking distance to the Vatican. There is a supermarket nearby with everything you would want and some great local delis. As for Mirko, he was very friendly and responsive to all of our requests. I would definitely stay here again.
