Poderaccio farm is nestled in the hills between Chianti and Valdarno Superiore, just half an hour from Florence. The guest house is a 18th century farmhouse divided into 4 apartments renewed in 2012 using greebuilding materials.
We only use renewable energy: the wood gives us heating, the sun provides us with hot water and the energy necessary to satisfy the house needs. We are under the standards of Eco- Bio Tourism and all the food products are certified organic. We cultivate the land according to the organic agriculture criteria, maintaining its fertility, enhancing its biodiversity.
The “Focolare” apartment is the bigger, is for 4 persons, it has a kitchen with the old fireplace, 2 big bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, internet connection. One more bed can be added with an extra charge of 15 euro per night . The apartment has different prices for different seasons (low - peak season) starting from 70 euro up to 100 euro per night per apartment . A discount of 20% is applied for a stay of a week. Price includes VAT, tourist tax, bed linen and towels with weekly change, water, gas, electricity, heating, wood for the fire, cable internet in the apartment and WiFi outside, final cleaning.
The apartment is equipped with all you need to cook including salt, sugar, tee and coffee.
In case you don’ feel like preparing food there are many good and also cheap restaurants near us. Most of them serve the real Tuscan food, you should try the typical Tbone steak “Fiorentina” if you eat meat or the “Ribollita” soup if you are vegetarian..
On demand (NOT included in the price) we can provide you with a basket with our or local organic products for breakfast: homemade bread, homemade jam, honey, yogurt, fresh fruit, and milk.
Florence, is just 27 Km from us, Arezzo, Pisa, Lucca, Siena, San Gimignano are close as well and all reachable in a day trip.
Don’t miss a visit to the old Vallombrosa Abbey and a walk in its woods; hang around Chianti for wine tasting and get lost in its small gorgeous villages and castles surrounded by Medieval walls (Panzano, Castellina etc...)!
Walkers can discover many trekking paths on the surrounding hills and they’ll be surprised of the wild animals they may meet walking at night or early in the morning … of course you can just relax in a hammock under the fig tree.
A car is needed since nearest shops and restaurants are at 7 km from here but in anycase we help hosts who don't want to rent a car , we offer free lifts from/to the nearest train station and stores accordingly to our works in the fields.
I will be glad to let you know the story of Poderaccio…What are you waiting for?

Pros: clean, spacious, beautifully presented, gorgeous view, great location, friendly and beautiful host - who went over and beyond to make sure we had an enjoyable stay, comfy bed, great heating and kitchen facilities
Cons: wifi went and off... that's it!
Best air bnb we've stayed at
I'm so grateful for your hospitality and graciousness. My family and I had a wonderful anniversary weekend. The villa was adorable, clean and very Tuscan, just what we needed. All the restaurant recommendations you offered were amazing. My favorite was the vegan restaurant. So delicious! Thank you for being so kind.
After long beautiful narrow trail lead your way in the woods with pine trees, we faced the big gate of the farm. The gate was at the edge of the olive tree farm where another path leads to the big white stone house with tuscan red roof.
All the equipments we needed were at the right place, there, in the house in good handy and with style.
The 'organic' does not mean here 'inconvenient'. That meant I had a really good rest in the nature-friendly environment (with unique regional food that the owner house-made which is really tasty; if you want only) under the beautiful Tuscan sunshine.
That was a really good-healing chance to staying there for me.
This farmhouse and it's surroundings are much better than what you see in the pictures even though the pictures are so good. If I could add one more star to our five star experience here I would not hesitate to do so. We visited Francesca's place in mid-December when weather was little cold and cloudy with shorter daylight time. I can imagine it would be a fantastic experience to visit this place in summer. Nonetheless weather was still good and partly sunny for couple of the days we stayed here. We rented a car from Florence train station and it took us about one and half hour to reach here. It think if you take freeway or toll road it would probably take one hour to get here. It was bit difficult find the place on GPS but once we entered San Michele it wasn't that difficult to find this place. Once we got to this place we were blown away by the views of the valley. The room we stayed in was beautifully maintained and clean. This farmhouse has that nice rustic charm which makes the experience exceptional. Francesca was really kind and accomodative to our needs. My wife is scared of dogs so she was really considerate to keep her dog on leash all the times to make my wife comfortable. Francesca also made a fresh healthy whole-grain homemade bread which you wouldn't experience in US. She and her husband were really kind enough to have us for dinner at their house downstairs to offer us the true italian style dining experience which we will never forget. I wish we could stay here longer. I would recommend staying here 4+ days for anyone who wants to stay here to truly experience Tuscany, Wine country and Florence city.
We had a wonderful experience. The farm and villa was everything presented and more. This is a beautiful location, excellent accomodations. Our host was fantastic, always concerned for our requirements. We ate most evenings in our villa using veggies from the farms garden which is expansive. I would highly recommend Francesca's place to anyone looking for a relaxing experience. Thank you.
We had such a wonderful time at Poderaccio in Incisa. Francesca welcomed us with a basket of fresh vegetables from her garden and her "home made" oliv oil. The apartment was clean and beutifully restored to its 18th century appearance. It was if we had stepped back in history, but with modern amentities. The location is on the side of a mountain range and the views across the Arno valley to the Apennine mountains. Francesca was very helpfull in telling us about sites to see both in Chianti and in the Florence area. She and Francesco hosted us to the best pesto pasta dinner that we have ever had as well as a make your own pizza making party which were then baked in the original brick oven in the house. Birra, her dog, is very freindly and will follow along on walks.

I would like to welcome you at my farm.
Taking care of a piece of land is for me an act of love for all that surrounds me: soil, water, plants, animals, people. It sums up everything I’ve ever been looking for in my life up until today and at the same time it represents the essentiality . I travelled the world and now that I’ve finally taken root, I would like the world come here to enjoy the comfort that the contact with the nature inevitably brings sharing an extraordinary luxury: enjoying the simple things in life. The forceful call of the land involves physical and mental work but, at the same time , in the evening, when I lie down with legs and back aching, it gives me a sense of harmony and contentment .
Come to visit me at Poderaccio you can see the marvellous place where I live and work!
