An apartment and three bedrooms, each with private entrance and private bathroom. Located near the beginning of the trail to Corniglia, Vernazza dominate the country.
The view over the rooftops, terraces, the main street and the marina, loses itself in the sea that surrounds this beautiful seaside village. To reach the village (10 min.), A typical stone staircase leads us into one of the most characteristic narrow streets of Vernazza, and crossing it down to the center of the country.
Not far from the rooms there is the Restaurant and the Bar La Torre. The Restaurant as the Bar, near the ancient tower from which also takes its name, offers a cuisine based primarily on local dishes. Also from here you can enjoy a wonderful view of the sea and the village.
The restaurant and the bar are open everyday from March to November and on the weekend in the winter and rooms are open all the year long.
What can I say? So far, this one has been my favorite stay. THE VIEW IS SPECTACULAR!!! The room is very small, but we spent most of our time hiking and walking the town, and eating the wonderful food. Everything in the room worked well, and it was surprisingly very warm inside - and we didn't need to use the heater. We also ate at La Torre restaurant, located below our room - and the staff was very friendly (we drank 'Angel's Kiss'). They were playing rock music, which we also enjoyed. The other reviews regarding the steep climb are true - it is a lot of steps up to the room. My husband and I each had our own small suitcase + backpack - and we were challenged walking UP to the room. However, the steps are not dangerous, and I was wearing flip-flops most of the time. We wish the room was larger so that we can have our family join us, but we will definitely come back to Vernazza.
Loved this place, private and up above the hustle and bustle. A view to die for. Small place but we loved it. We didn't want to leave. Andrea was great, very helpful.
Amazing view! Very romantic and totally worth all the steps. We loved our stay. Thank you Andrea :)!
What a wonderful place! As prior reviewers have commented, space is a little tight, but was not a problem with our bags. Yes, there are many steps to take up to the place, but so worth it. The terrace in the pics is incredible - the town of Vernazza below, listening to the ocean waves, and a full view of the Mediterranean exactly as per the pics. I would not choose any other location!
Andrea was very hospitable, friendly. He and his father have a little restaurant below the room - local delicacies, hand squeezed orange and local lemon juice, various wines to sample etc. Always ask for local food (cucina tipica).
A couple tips - for drivers, leave your car in either La Spezia to the south or Levanto to the north and take the train. I chose the smaller Levanto, and parked for free in the town near the train station (white lined parking spots are free, blue you pay).
I recommend you bring just what you need for Vernazza given all the steps. It wasn't a big deal for me to (email hidden) small suitcase and a back pack up all the steps to the room, but could be a problem for some.
Another tip - ask Andrea about eating on your terrace - their restaurant (La Torre) will serve you on your terrace if you want, but their terrace below is equally nice.
Lastly, while the #2 trail that connects all the towns is listed as closed, it is BS as they don't staff the trailhead huts to collect $$. The trail from Corniglia to Vernazza (trailhead outside your room!!) was in perfect shape, and we ran into many hikers. I don't know if the #2 between other towns of the Conque Terre were accessible as we hiked further upslope on other trails, but imagine they were. There was signage implying the trails were being restored from winter rains, but again, I believe this is an excuse as there were no off season toll collecting. This is a common excuse in museums in Italy, with whole wings closed off due to "restoration" - issue is staffing typically.
Feel free to contact me if any questions.
Andrea's room at the top of Vernazza was magnificent. The room was small but the view and the size of the balcony more than compensates for it. He was such a great host and he made sure we have everything that we needed during our 4-day stay in Cinque Terre.
We don't know how many different rooms are available, but we loved our stay at the tippy top of the cliff. No better view in all of Vernazza. We justified stuffing our faces every day because we got to climb so many stairs and feel healthy. Andrea was very helpful, and the room was clean and cozy. We were right at the start of the trail to Corniglia, so that was a bonus.
Andrea was great! Easy to plan our arrival and retrieve the keys from him. The place was clean but smaller than expected. However, the view was incredible and felt nicely secluded from the rest of town. Another nice surprise was the coastal trail to Corniglia as it was just a few steps away.
With it being so high up, I don't suggest staying here if you are carrying more than a backpack as it will be difficult.
Because we were leaving late in the evening, Andrea provided us with a place to leave our bags. He was so kind and hope to return to Cinque Terre again. Thanks so much Andrea!
Nice view from balcony of the apartment is main feature of this house.
Be ready to climb many steps though. So do not carry luggage.
But believe me it's worth.
No wi-fi/wired internet.
It is place where nature is worshiped.
Exactly on the trail between cornigillia and vernazza.
We had an amazing time in Vernazza! The town is gorgeous, the room was smaller than expected but fulfilled everything we needed. The room is also quite hard to find but the view quickly makes you forget it. Andrea and his familiy are really nice! A must if you go in Vernazza!
NIce little place, beautiful view. We had some trouble finding it from the train station, but luckily we ran into someone who was able to help us.
