What a nice place to stay near Vancouver ! I spent with my son two evenings with Tom and his wife. Great memories... Thanks and hope to stay with you on my next trip in Canada
We found our little retreat in a quiet North Van neighbourhood and were warmly greeted by Tom and Nancy with Tom even carrying in all our stuff. The backyard is a little sanctuary. Our apt met every need and more with a stocked fridge, comfy beds (2 bedrooms), laundry, and a variety of collector memorabilia. Tom is an interesting guy with great stories. Each morning they brought down fresh fruit and muffins - great way to start the day after eating on the road. The place exceeded our expectations and we would love a return visit at this very hospitable home away from home.
My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful 5-night stay at Bell's BnB. The property is located in a quiet neighborhood with easy walking access to the shops and services at Edgemont Village, and close-by public transit (1 bus takes you directly to Stanley Park, Vancouver Aquarium & Downtown!). More importantly for us, was that it was located within very close driving distance to some of the world's best mountain biking on Fromme and Seymour :)
Communication with Tom was excellent right from the get-go. He called us prior to arriving to ensure we had all the information needed. Tom gave us a quick tour of the residence when we arrived. The private basement suite was clean & comfortable with big king and queen sized beds, and well equipped kitchen and bath. We had designated parking on his driveway, plus use of bbq in their backyard where we enjoyed many lovely meals in the beautiful garden. We also had access to shared laundry which was very useful, and we were also able to keep our bikes in the secure garage.
The breakfast was just the icing on the cake - big amazing fruit platter with muffins each morning. Tom and Nancy were wonderful hosts and we look forward to being back again!
This suite was quite a treat - spacious and private! I enjoyed the kitchen which they thoughtfully had stocked with appliances for me to make tea/coffee, and snacks/breakfast items in the fridge. The breakfast fruit platters were delicious as well. What I appreciated most was Tom & Nancy's hospitality - waiting up for me when I got back late, quick chats in the morning/evening, and giving me rides when it worked out with both of our schedules. They balanced interacting with giving my my space as a traveler really well. Thank you two for a wonderful experience!
Hi Tom & Nancy,
You already helped with the fire alarm which I appreciated. The other piece I didn't get a chance to share with you as it happened on the last night, was that the shower went cold partway through. I wonder if it was because I had the washer going at the same time. Other than these two isolated incidents, I had a wonderful stay.
I had a wonderful experience staying with Nancy and Tom. The house is in a very quiet area of North Vancouver with a really inviting back yard. The area for the guest is private and extremely well equipped, yet provides access to the rest of the house. It was wonderful to socialize with our hosts.
Fantastic stay with Tom and Nancy such a lovely home and fantastic hosts. They could have done more for us! Thoroughly recommended and if ever in the the neighbourhood will definitely be our first choice to stay.
