If you are a light sleeper you might want to be made aware that Roosters are a common property of each house in Bali, and these tend to make noise at the early hours of the morning, you might want to carry earplugs with you.
They are not part of Ketuts house but rather the nearby houses.
Feel free to contact me for more information about the house.
There is not really an official public transport to Ubud, best is to rent wheels (scooter, bicycle or a car) if you frequently want to visit Ubud. Or ask Ketut to arrange a Taxi. (around 5 USD to town) If you are a keen walker Ubud is about 30-40 min walk away. Penestanan is the nearest neighbourhood, only 10 min walk from the house.
Private Swimming Pool (not shared with any other house holds)
The house is private with walls around it
We rent the house not the rooms!

Scooter or bicycle is the best way to travel in Ubud.
Other Things to Note

I've been thrilled to spend 4 days in Kutut house. Right in the middle of rice fields, with the sunrise every morning, what more can you expect ! Surroundings are typical Ubud scenery and the farmers in the neighbourhood seem coming from an another time ...
No luxury, no untasty furnishing, just a nice and cosy place. For whom wishing to stay in the heart of Ubud ....forget it !
Keep this place as hidden as possible to preserve the simpleness of Bali.
We spent a fantastic time in this wonderful villa. The time was just too short! The area has a great rural feel but is still close enough to Ubud central that you are able to head into town easily by bike or car.
Ketut made things very easy for us, helping us not only to rent a scooter but also by introducing us to his brother in law, Koming, who was our driver in Ubud. Koming also fetched us; and took us to the airport on our last day. We had a fantastic trip and will definitely be back!
Andrea provided consistent and wonderful contact and information on the site and the trip. Ketut and family who are on site are some of the nicest, sweetest and most helpful you will find around. They arranged for anything that we asked for and our mornings started off with very kind gestures of coconuts at breakfast. Our taxi bailed on us, but in stepped Ketut's son and arranged one for us within 15 minutes. Can't ask for nicer people to liaise with.
The villa itself is in a secluded and local area. If you are looking to stay on site and have a quiet and relaxing time, this place is definitely for you. If you want to spend each day in Ubud you will have to arrange for bike rental or a trusted taxi, as it is not that easy to find.
Ketut was really lovely, friendly and helpful. He organised a scooter and a massage in the house which was amazing. The house is so nice and I really enjoyed my stay. I stayed there alone and felt really happy and comfortable there. I would definitely go back and stay there. It's a gorgeous house and a nice distance away from Ubud and tucked away in the rice fields. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to be alone but also knows that there is someone there to help out if you need it. Thank you ketut, your family and Andrea. X
It's been a wonderful 3 night stay in this beautiful villa. The owner Ketut was so helpful and friendly! He even drove us to the nearest food stall at night so that we can grab dinner. The villa is clean and we spent a lot of time at the pool area. I'll definitely stay here again if I am back in Bali.
My wife and I stayed four nights here for part of our honeymoon. While in Ubud, Ketut, and his son Dedi, were amazing, we felt the spot was a little different than advertised. The house is completely lovely in terms of exterior, the beautifully manicured yard, the private and very clean pool, and the ornately carved furniture. However, there were a few things that we did not fully recognize before we booked. The restroom is located on the first floor, which was a minor inconvenience when needing to use the bathroom at night, as you needed to decline the very steep staircase to get there. The kitchen, while lovely to have in lieu of needing a restaurant every meal, was more modest than the look of the rest of the house would let on. Left for us in the fridge was the resounding odor of an exploded beer from the prior guest who had obvisously placed in the freezer to chill and then forgotten about. There was a sweet/sour odor leftover in the fridge that even after Ketut graciously had cleaned for us, never quite went away. The biggest complaint however would be the plethora of bugs in the house, and likewise bug bites that my wife woke up to each morning, even with the mosquito net drawn about the bed. Had the house been branded with a more rustic appeal, we would not be making such specific comments, but since it was so different from what we were expecting, I felt the need to be more specific. Ketut and his son Dedi were so sweet and accommodating, they made our visit as pleasurable as it was, helping us create our itinerary for our days around what we wanted to do, driving us around, and scheduling us amazing and very reasonably priced massages.
The host and the outside exterior were terrific (including the private terrace outside the upstair bedroom), however be aware that the bathroom is on the first floor while the bed located on the second floor, along with the many creatures that roam the house during all days that made the stay a bit inconvenient. We dpnt think we'll be back and would like to stay at a place closer to Ubud center (for a better bang for the buck) with few less night bugs biting my wife.

About the Host, Andréa
Hi my name is Andréa.
Ketut is the owner of the Ubud Rice field view house, he is a Balinese friend who has little knowledge (next to none) about internet, hence makes it hard for him to advertise outside Ubud, so volunteered to help him out as this is something I have done for the past 10 years, running my holiday letting agency in Barcelona.
I simply take care of reservations, and once you arrive to Ubud you are in great care of very capable and friendly host Ketut.
Ketut has worked on cruise ships for many years and has vast experience in customer service.
He is renting out his place for those looking to disconnect, to get their creative flow running, a place for lovers of Nature and want to be close to it.
So far no one has been disapointed.
