This is a small quiet subdivision with no cut through streets providing a place for enjoyable evening walks.
There is a bus stop at the front of the subdivision. We are only minutes away from the Greyhound and Amtrak stations.
Other Things to Note
We have a NOAA weather alert radio that will sound an alarm if there is any severe weather in our immediate area.
Guests may come and go as they please, but we request quiet hours after 10pm. This is a small family neighborhood so we request no loud music or stereos that would cause problems with our neighbors. We request no smoking in the house or on the property at all times.
We stayed there for one month enjoying our summer break in Raleigh. We really enjoyed the wonderful time with family. The place is very cozy and clean. The breakfast was always a good surprise at morning. Thelma's cakes and pancakes are delicious. Dan and Thema are great hosts and make you feel at home and comfortable. They were always open to help and also offering helpful guidance about the area. Thank you, our friends Dan, Thelma and Rachel, for the wonderful time you provide us. We fell blessed for that. We have no words to describe how grateful we are. You are awesome!!!
We had also a chance to meet Sheri, another lovely guest that stayed there for a week while we were there. Sheri, we also thank you for the great time together.
Great host. I needed for a short period, Dan and Thelma were very accommodating.
Dan and Thelma were very gracious and sought to make us feel at home. The room was nicely decorated and although we shared the bathroom with another guest, Dan had no problem with getting up early to clean it if we were using it after the other guest. The home was welcoming and clean. They offered us wine when we returned from our dinner in the city and one of us sat with Dan, Thelma and their daughter and watched TV. Breakfast was ready for us the next morning in a lovely setting with fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, juice and fresh baked muffins. It was quiet and they offered us free rein of the house and they gave us a key to come and go as we pleased. And their dog, Snowy, was a sweetheart. Not a traditional BnB but very welcoming.
Dan and Thelma were absolutely wonderful hosts! Truly a very kind and heartwarming couple, their dog Snowy is adorable and very well behaved! Not only did they offer up advice on neat places to check out in Raleigh, but they gave my friend and I advice on stopping points for our road trip on our way down. The room was organized and cozy and bathroom was very clean. We had an amazing experience staying at their home and would definitely stay here again if our travels ever find us back in Raleigh.
Dan and Thelma were wonderful hospitable hosts. They were very attentive and Thelma made some wonderful weekend breakfasts! Their room was as described-very clean, and their neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. I would recommend them if you're visiting Raleigh.
We had an excellent stay with Dan and Thelma. They were very welcoming and accommodating. The house/ room was clean and well kept. The bathroom was furnished with toiletries and linens. Thelma is happy to fix breakfast on the weekends and it is delicious !! They were helpful in informing us of the area as we are planning to move there. We were free to come and go as we wished with as much or little interaction as desired. We would stay again for sure! Price is right and location is convenient !

We will be celebrating our 22nd anniversary this August! Our daughter will be starting her junior year at Notre Dame this Fall and we miss her a lot when she is away. Our dog, Snowy (Bichon Frise), helps to entertain us and lets us take him on several daily walks. We are active in our local church, teaching Sunday School and other volunteer activities in the community.
When we travel we like to stay at bed and breakfasts. We enjoy meeting people from other cultures and countries, especially the Philippines where Thelma grew up. We try to go often to visit family and tour. In our travels we also have been to Germany, Italy, Austria, and Hawaii.
