The Space

Large first floor one bedroom Apt with open floor plan centrally located to several ski areas (Stowe, Bolton and Sugarbush) available for short-term rentals. This clean, quiet and epuiped apartment is conveniently located less than 2 miles from Waterbury, Vermont - home to Ben & Jerry's, Green Mountain Coffee, and nearby Cold Hollow Cider Mill - three of the most popular tourist attractions in Vermont.

Ample kitchen living room space with a table that seats 8 comfortably. The apartment is located on the VAST trail for snowmobiling and cross-country skiing. In the summer, you can enjoy all the amenities that Vermont has to offer. The apartment sits on a 9 acre parcel with an adjacent 40 acres along the Winooski River for long walks and ATV use. Less than 10 miles to Stowe, 20 miles to Burlington and 10 miles to Montpelier.

Waterbury is a great town that boast the restaurants with the best micro brewery beer selections in the entire state. This apartment and one other are attached to a wonderful family owned barbecue restaurant, The Cider House BBQ & Pub, so you can enjoy dinner right next door.

The apartment is equipped with a pellet stove for additional warmth in the winter and there is a window air conditioner in the bedroom that cools the entire apartment. Pocket doors open the bedroom into the living room for a very open floor plan. There is a sofa in the living room that can sleep one additional person but it is not the most comfortable.

There is no public transportation so a vehicle is a must.

  • We had a great stay! Tom was a lovely host, and the apartment was cozy and had everything we needed. We were away from the bustle of town, and there was a beautiful place to stroll nearby that the dog loved.

  • The apartment is in a great location, close to Stowe, close to Waterbury and the freeway. The layout is great and Tom is a very friendly, thoughtful host.

  • Tom was the best host ever! The place was adorable, comfortable and very cozy with the fireplace in the living room (and King Bed ahhh). We had some trouble getting up there on Friday evening due to my boyfriend getting sick, and Tom was so sweet to stock our fridge, offer us free AMAZING BBQ when we finally arrived, and very kindly watched my lonely dog Tyson when we went to Sugarbush to ski. Tom and the place exceeded my expectations and the place was wonderful! Thanks Tom, we will be back again soon!

  • We had a wonderful President's Day weekend staying here and skiing at Bolton Valley, our dog Grizz had so much fun bounding through the snow, and the pellet stove made the apartment so warm and cozy! Tom and his partner are so nice, and the food at their restaurant next door is delicious. Thank you for having us!!

  • We had a nice stay over the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day weekend. Tom and his partner made sure that we had everything we needed, including k-cups for the keurig coffee maker and some half and half in the fridge. Getting the pellet stove going before we arrived made things nice and cozy in the apartment.

About
Occasional traveler with a friend or alone. I live and work in VT and like to get away during the slow times - April and November. I am in my fifties, quiet, respectful and I like to visit family and friends up and down the east and west coasts. I have lived in Baltimore, San Francisco, New York City, Connecticut and now Vermont. I have gone from urban to suburban to rural living - all have their benefits. Now that I live in a rural area I enjoy hitting the cityscapes as much as possible in my free time. I travel light, I am a foodie - I am the chef/owner of a restaurant in Vermont so I like to try different types of food. I am no longer into the club scene or crazy wild nightlife - I am more about family and friends and quiet comfortable gatherings where we can share our lives.
