Hi! Welcome to Dublin!
Do you want to experience the ‘real’ Dublin city? You’ve found the right place!
My apartment is in a red brick building, built 150 years ago in the historic Georgian style, with a quirky interior.
Your room has crisp white sheets, and towels are included. It is a fresh and cosy room with some shelves for your clothes, plugs + international adaptors.
The apartment includes:
* Central heating
* Hot shower
* Kitchen with dining table, kettle, cooker, microwave, washing machine
* Free wi-fi throughout the house - 120mb
* Breakfast, coffee, teas - self-service :)
And in the warmer weather, there’s a large garden to sit in the sunshine!
This is a small 2 bedroom apartment. Guests have the use of their own room, share the bathroom with me, and have full use of the kitchen, with seating area.
I work full-time during the week, but am in the apartment a lot in the evenings so I'll usually have time to explain everything and provide tips / advice. Sometimes I go out of town on the weekends. You'll have your own key so you can come and go as you like. I'm happy to have a chat, and also respect your privacy and space.
The apartment is in the perfect location to enjoy the city centre, and is located right beside the desirable villages of Ranelagh and Donnybrook, where you’ll find plenty of shops, cafes, pubs, and restaurants!
There are direct links to:
The airport: 30mins with the ‘Aircoach’, runs every 20mins; costs €14 return
The city centre (3km): 10mins by bus, runs every 8mins; costs €2.35 each way
(Or if you feel energetic you can walk to the city centre in 30mins)
If you're also planning to visit the countryside I can recommend my mother's beautiful house in Wicklow: https://www.airbnb.ie/rooms/1248122
It was my first airbnb experience... I imagined it a little bit more "familiar" and "inclusive"... but this is maybe my false interpretation of a private accomodation. Everything was fine, clean and quiet during the nights, the place is recommendable. I appreciated especially the espresso machine in the morning!!
Ellen hosted my mon for two days, while she was visiting me in Dublin. Nice confortable room, in a great neighborhood. Ellen arranged Ericka to show her arround.
A week ago I was relaxing and reading in Ellen's lovely backyard in Donnybrook. It was a great location, easy to get around by bus and a short ride into the City center. The room was nice and bright, very clean, and quite comfortable. Ellen arranged for Erica to let me in when I arrived in the middle of the day, and her information sheet gave me all the details I needed to know. There are shopping areas at either end of her street, banks, bookstores, restaurants, etc.
I highly recommend Ellen's place.

Staying at Ellen's apartment was effortless and relaxing. I was able to get to know a part of Dublin I did not know.
Ellen was not present so Erika took care of welcoming me. She made sure I knew where everything was.
The apartment is clean and conveniently located. I would definitely return.
Staying at Ellen´s made me confirm once again what a difference it makes to be near positive-attitude people who enjoy life. Ellen (email hidden), friendly, helpful, and what's most important to me, relaxed and easy to be around.
The house itself is lovely. Bright, clean, and located in one of Dublin's nicest's area, a quiet neighbourhood yet with plenty of shops and restaurants and walking-distance to the city centre.
So happy that I chose Ellen's! Already recommended it to friends ;)
5 stars for Ellen :)
Her place is as nice as you see in the pictures, comfortable, clean and very beautiful. It's located in a central and nice area of Dublin.
In addition, her house has a wonderful garden perfect to enjoy the spring days. I couldn't have asked for more. Thank you, Ellen!
Very clean, nice sized room :) Ellen was a great help if we needed anything. Also only a very short bus ride to the city centre! Would for sure stay there again if my travels bring me back to Dublin.
Ellen (email hidden), very friendly and welcoming. Room was in a great location... Would definitely recommend!!
