Located in the family friendly neighborhood of Locust Grove in Downtown Charlottesville, this 1931 charming "arts & crafts" bungalow sleeps 4 (or 5 if someone wants the couch!) between 2 bedrooms, each with a comfortable queen bed. The beds are both made by the locally bedding company Savvy Rest and are made with natural latex and organic cotton casing (deluxe). One bedroom is located upstairs, and the other is downstairs in the newly finished basement. There is a full bathroom upstairs, along with another full bathroom in the basement.
The kitchen is fully updated with dishwasher, gas stove, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, apron sink, full size fridge, etc. The dining room table seats 4. There is also a patio in the backyard that seats 4 in the warmer months.
There is no TV, but there is wireless internet.
It's a 13-15 minute walk to the Downtown Mall in Charlottesville, or a 30-second walk from the local favorite restaurants Riverside and La Michoacana. A quick trip also to the commercial Pantops area, and minutes from UVA, Downtown, and I-64. Views of Monticello Mountain out the kitchen window until the apple tree fills in!
The house is owned by me, a freelance photographer, and I often travel for shoots which leaves my well-loved home open for your stay in Downtown Charlottesville!
Our group of 5 had a wonderful stay at Tom's house this past weekend. Tom is personable, helpful and easy to work with. His house is so charming and is convenient to everything you could want to do in Charlottesville. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Tom or his place!
