A lovely peaceful attic room in central Stroud with very flexible accommodation for up to 2 adults and 2 children. The house is a family home and you will be assured a warm welcome.
Lovely, large peaceful attic room with either twin beds or a huge superking. If there are two of you, please let Natasha know which you'd like and the bed(s) will be converted accordingly.
The room also contains a comfortable day bed to lounge on, a table and two chairs, lots of cupboard space (hanging and shelves), tea/coffee making facilities, vanity mirror, hairdryer, hot water bottles and towels. Bedside tables, and a digital alarm clock should you have forgotten your own. Ask if you'd like to borrow an iron/board or trouser press. Lovely views over the park if you are tall!
For those who are with children, the day bed can be made up into a bed, and there is a further pull out single bed underneath. There is also a travel cot available. We can accommodate older children in other rooms if necessary (a sofa bed room on the ground floor and another single bedroom). Please note this room is NOT suitable for 4 adults.
The bathroom is one floor below, with a bath, electric shower, loo and sink. There are toiletries in the cupboard under the sink for you to use if needed. There's another loo next door to the bathroom too. This space is shared my stepdaughter and if other airbandbers are around.
A breakfast of cereal, toast and fruit juice is included in the price (you can help yourself, I'll show you where things are). You are welcome to use the large kitchen for cooking. .
We have WIFI which you are welcome to use.
The house is a large family and shared 'end of terrace Victorian' home. We have 3 cats and a dog, several children/young adults and lodgers too. Its definitely more a busy family home than an immaculate b and b.. we like it and hope you will too.
Please do note that the house has a lot of stairs and the room is in the attic at the top, the kitchen in the basement.
Parking is on street, you'll need a visitors permit from Natasha, except on Sundays/evenings, included in the price. Parking is often difficult out the front in the evenings, so we often suggest parking round the back of the house (accessed along an unmade track).
We're right in central Stroud, minutes from the bus and railway station, and all the shops and restaurants. Do check out the fabulous farmers market on a Saturday!
We look forward to welcoming you to our home.
Guests are very welcome to use the open plan kitchen for cooking and relaxing, even a game of table football..
Interaction with Guests
we hope you'll make yourselves at home; join in with us as you wish, or keep yourselves private, it really is your call. Please let us know if you need anything or find something you don't like; we so want to make your experience a good one and would prefer to know at the time so we can improve your visit - and for future guests too.
Stroud is a very chilled place, where I am imagine you'll feel comfortable and made to feel welcome...
very convenient for the train and bus stations. Parking is included outside, you'll need a permit from Natasha, except on Sundays/evenings. If you find you can't find a place outside speak with Natasha about parking at the back!
Other Things to Note
Please aim to arrive before 9.30pm as we're a house with young children and not late to bed. We can then give you a key and you return as late into the wee hours as you'd like!
Please do make yourselves at home. We are usually a 'shoes off' household but if you'd prefer to keep yours on then that's ok too.
There are lodgers as well as the family in the house - please do not go into the door marked private on the ground floor - its a bedroom not the loo/kitchen!
Natasha is a lovely welcoming host and she made me feel very much at home in her comfortable house. It is well situated, a short walk from Stroud station. The room is spacious with a very comfortable bed. Thank you - hope to come again!
I was made very welcome by Natasha. The top-floor room is spacious (just mind your head at the sides!) and the bed gloriously comfortable. The neighbourhood is nice and quiet but very conveniently near to the town centre. Highly recommended.
Natasha and her family were wonderful hosts. The room was very large and comfortable. We slept well and had a really pleasant stay. Many thanks :-)
Natasha made my husband and me extremely welcome. The bedroom was warm and nicely lit with both bright and subdued lighting, and the bed was extremely comfortable. We were given full use of the kitchen, with the option to cook for ourselves if required. It was only a short walk into the centre of town for an evening meal. The atmosphere was that of a happy family house and we would be happy to stay again if the need arose. Thank you Natasha.

My family had a wonderful experience. It was a beautiful room and lovely friendly family. They would certainly recommend Natasha to others and would love to stay again
Natasha was very welcoming and everything was all sorted for us, so thanks for that Natasha!
Staying with Natasha and Dave is like staying with friends, they're lovely, open-minded and interesting people, as well as attentive and welcoming hosts. The house itself has a cosy, relaxed atmosphere and the top floor room is lovely and spacious, giving you a lots of privacy and peace. I loved chatting to them both and having the honour of helping out with pre-Christmas jigsaw puzzle. Natasha was also extremely patient with my general incompetence on a number of things. Highly recommended if you're planning a trip to Stroud.

I'm mostly a mama at the moment, to my three boys, though taking time to study again too. I've had a patchwork career and now my 'business' is as landlady and hosting folk to stay. I really enjoy welcoming people into my home. I'm an avid reader and doing/making crafty things. Seasonal decorations make me feel truly at home. I'm into geneology and have painted two enormous family trees, proudly displayed in the house. My boys and I purposefully look to have some fun everyday.
