About This Listing
A lovely peaceful attic room in central Stroud with very flexible accommodation for up to 2 adults and 2 children. The house is a family home and you will be assured a warm welcome.
Lovely, large peaceful attic room with a huge superking bed! The room also contains a comfortable day bed to lounge on, a table and two chairs, cupboard space (hanging and shelves), tea/coffee making facilities, vanity mirror, hairdryer, hot water bottles and towels. Bedside tables, and a digital alarm clock should you have forgotten your own. Ask if you'd like to borrow an iron/board or trouser press. Lovely views over the park if you are tall!
For those who are with children, the day bed can be made up into a bed, and there is a further pull out single bed underneath. There is also a travel cot available. Please note this room is NOT suitable for 4 adults.
The bathroom is one floor below, with a bath, electric shower, loo and sink. There are toiletries in the cupboard under the sink for you to use if needed. There's another loo next door to the bathroom too. This space is shared my stepdaughter and if other airbandbers are around.
A breakfast of cereal, toast and fruit juice is included in the price (you can help yourself, I'll show you where things are). You are welcome to use the large kitchen for cooking. .
We have WIFI which you are welcome to use.
The house is a large family and shared 'end of terrace Victorian' home. We have 3 cats and a dog, several children/young adults and lodgers too. Its definitely more a busy family home than an immaculate b and b.. we like it and hope you will too.
Please do note that the house has a lot of stairs and the room is in the attic at the top, the kitchen in the basement.
Parking is often difficult out the front in the evenings, so we often suggest parking round the back of the house (accessed along an unmade track). A permit out the front is often available if necessary.
We're right in central Stroud, minutes from the bus and railway station, and all the shops and restaurants. Do check out the fabulous farmers market on a Saturday!
We look forward to welcoming you to our home.
Guests are very welcome to use the open plan kitchen for cooking and relaxing, even a game of table football..
Interaction with Guests
we hope you'll make yourselves at home; join in with us as you wish, or keep yourselves private, it really is your call. Please let us know if you need anything or find something you don't like; we so want to make your experience a good one and would prefer to know at the time so we can improve your visit - and for future guests too.
Stroud is a very chilled place, where I am imagine you'll feel comfortable and made to feel welcome...
very convenient for the train and bus stations. Parking is at the back or with a permit at the front.
Other Things to Note
Please aim to arrive before 9.30pm as we're a house with young children and not late to bed. We can then give you a key and you return as late into the wee hours as you'd like!
Please do make yourselves at home. We are usually a 'shoes off' household but if you'd prefer to keep yours on then that's ok too.
There are lodgers as well as the family in the house - please do not go into the door marked private on the ground floor - its a bedroom not the loo/kitchen!
Natasha was a very welcoming, friendly host and the accomodation was as described in her profile. We had a very comfortable night in the lovely top attic room in her house which is very conveniently situated for the centre of Stroud. This is a family home full of life and character. We appreciated the off road parking at the rear of the house for our precious vw campervan.
Grazie.
A relaxed, friendly, comfortable family home a short walk from the town centre, this place is great. We felt very welcome. Would book again...
Natasha and her large family were great hosts. They have a wonderfully relaxed and relaxing home, we felt like coming to good friends. Trevor soon settled down with a glass of wine and reading to Zack, the 3 year old, while Natasha helped me with our bags to the spacious and comfortable attic bedroom. The many steps up were a bit of a challenge for Trevor, who had a stroke about a year ago, but he sees such situations just as part of the daily exercises he needs to do anyway.
We followed Natasha's advice and enjoyed a nice indian meal in their local and found the Ale House for a good beer. We liked the feel of Stroud and the central location of our stay and hope to make Natasha's again our stop over on a future trip south. We thought it was one of the nicest airbnb places yet!
Our host, Natasha, had told us that she would be away when we visited but her lovely step-daughter welcomed us in after a long journey. She was friendly and helpful but not intrusive and we quickly settled into our room which was exactly as described. I slept very well when we were there due to the very comfortable bed with mattress topper!
The house is a lovely relaxed family home, and we felt comfortable using the shared bathroom and making ourselves tea and toast in the kitchen. We let ourselves in and out with our own key and felt relaxed in the company of the house cats and dog!
We saw Natasha on the second morning we were there after her return and she was lovely- very warm, friendly and relaxed, and these words sum up our whole stay which made visiting family (10 minutes walk up the road) incredibly easy. We couldn't have asked for more- a great first experience of Airbnb.
The location of our accomodation was just perfect for us as we came for a big family event in the Science and Arts College. The room was very quiet and we slept really well. The cats in the house would have preferred to share the room with us.
Natasha's partner David was very friendly and helpful.
A very friendly host who welcomed our whole family and made us all feel welcome with cups of tea, local information and toys aplenty which were kindly shared with our kids. A very nice big room and an excellent location close to the centre of town. Highly recommended.

About the Host, Natasha
I'm mostly a mama at the moment, to my three boys, though taking time to study again too. I've had a patchwork career and now my 'business' is as landlady and hosting folk to stay. I really enjoy welcoming people into my home. I'm an avid reader and doing/making crafty things. Seasonal decorations make me feel truly at home. I'm into geneology and have painted two enormous family trees, proudly displayed in the house. My boys and I purposefully look to have some fun everyday.
