The Space

A unique loft with all the comforts in a unique aesthetic area in the heart of Athens city!

The loft has a spacious, modern designed living room, a bedroom with double bed, a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom with shower. Balcony with city view! All the basic appliances are included. The loft can accomodate up to 2 people.

The loft is situated in the historical and commercial center
It is situated on a central side street at Monastiraki area with immediate proximity to all archaeological sites and museums.
Less than 10 minutes minutes walking from the Acropolis and Herodion and the Acropolis Museum.

Just few minutes walking from the active nightlife centers of Athens (Thissio, Acropolis bars, Plaka, Gazi etc.). The metro station of Monastiraki is just 2 minutes walking far from the loft, with direct access to all the sites of Athens, the airport and Pireaus port!

Monastiraki is one of the most picturesque regions of Athens, as well as one from the older neighborhoods of Athens and has its own history and preserves the traditional architecture.

My design loft is the best place for a comfortable stay in the heart of the historical center of Athens city....The pulse of Athens beats here!!!

  • We had a fantastic stay at Alexis' flat, great décoration, very well located in the center Athenes.

Alexis was really helpuf, he took the time to explain us what to do during our stay (museums, bars, restaurants, cool areas) even at late hour (we arrived at 12pm).

We definitely recommend to stay at Alexis' flat!!

  • We loved staying at Alexis' place and he was an amazing host. Alexis knew we were arriving from a long flight from Australia and had bread, juice and even wine for us! The location is the best there is in Athens. The nightlife is right at your doorstep and only a 15 minute walk from the acropolis. Monastiraki station is only a minute walk from the apartment as well. Alexis' apartment was very clean and spacious for two people - I recommend staying at his apartment very much. Thanks Alexis.

  • There isn't enough space to say all the good things that Alexis and his flat deserve!

LOCATION: Athens is a bustling place, and it isn't easy to find relaxation. The handful of streets surronding Alexis's place are the most perfect oasis we found in a week there. Jammed with bars and cafes, the area is alive at all hours but in a really happy, chilled way. After trekking around the sites all day we loved coming back to any of a dozen wonderful little places (literally) right on the doorstep. We did a pretty thorough exploration and couldn't believe our luck at staying bang in the middle of the absolute best possible area. Visit the cake shop (every day), but be warned, each serve is a whole meal!

You can easily walk everywhere from the flat, but if venturing a little further it is 30 seconds to the underground. You can see the Acropolis from the balcony 5 minutes away.

SUPER FRIENDLY: Not just Alexis (who is one of the most welcoming souls I've ever met) but everything about the flat and the area were just so friendly and welcoming. From the shopkeepers downstairs who light up when you say where you are staying to the bowl of fruit and other goodies that welcomed us when we arrived, you couldn't as for a nicer place to stay.

DESIGNER STYLE: Alexis has created an amazing space, it really does have a very unique feel that just adds to the overall sense of home, with loads of little conveniences (on top of the ususal WiFi, TV etc.) like a nice HiFi system, hot/cold filtered water taps, air conditioning, shaded balcony.

I could go on and on, but you might as well just book it: I can't believe there is anywhere better to stay in Athens.

  • Great flat in the Athens centre. Few meters of the subway station and with a lot of bars and restaurants near. Fully equipped kitchen, great sound system, balcony and even a washing machine. The decoration and atmosphere of the flat are great. Not to mention that Alexis is a fantastic host and help with tips and everything. I do not think that is a negative point, but you can hear the noise from the bars from the street at night. But this is easily solved with the windows closed and the sound turned softly before bedtime. Highly recommended.

  • Alexis' apartment was very beautiful and comfortable. Plus, it is perfectly located at 2 minutes of Monastiraki (metro and square) - very easy to visit the heart of the city just by walking. The neighborhood is very lively, lots of bars and restaurants that are opened late at night.
Alexis has been very helping with the checkin time - as we arrived in the middle of the night ! He also suggested restaurants and bars that appeared to be the best we experienced in Athens. Definitely recommended !

  • was very central located for my needs, exactely what I was looking for. It's a crowded area, but you have to deal with that lively neighbourhood, it's Athens by night after all. Anytime again in the future. Thank you Alexis

  • We were very excited to begin our Greek holiday in Athens but were extremely disappointed with our stay at Alexis' apartment. We have rented apartments through Airbnb in many countries around the world and never had such a negative experience as we had at Alexis' place:

Alexis was not in town when we arrived, but he had arranged for his friend to meet us in order to give us the keys and show us around the apartment -- this had been previously communicated to us and was not a problem. Upon getting settled, we tried to use the internet in order to find good local restaurants, etc. Alexis had advertised his place as having WiFi (one of our requirements in renting places), but this turned out to be a farse. Alexis even provided us with a "WiFi password" which confused his friend and us. After spending our first 30 minutes trying to figure this out on our own, we called his friend and Alexis to help us resolve the situation. Alexis continued to claim that he did indeed have WiFi. It turns out that Alexis mooches off of a neighbor or a neighborhood restaurant. The signal is extremely weak and only works occasionally, IF you stand outside on the edge of his balcony. Alexis should not advertise his apartment as having WiFi, and moreover, when guests confront him about not being able to connect, he should not insist that he has something he doesn't. If you want WiFi, *don't* rent Alexis' apartment.

Not everyone cares about WiFi, however, I assume that you will definitely want clean bed sheets. Upon turning the sheets down before bed, we noticed that the sheets had been clearly used previously, as there were fresh wrinkles in the sheets where a body imprints (butt, head and feet). It was obvious that someone had slept in these sheets. And, there was dog hair all over the sheets. Unbelievable. Alexis left us his apartment with dirty bedsheets, yet he and his friend told us that they were clean and the bed was newly made!

Next, when we went to the bathroom, we found that there was NO toilet paper. We ended up having to buy our own for our 3 night stay, which seems ridiculous.

In our opinion, the problems we experienced were more than simply having no wifi, dirty sheets and no toilet paper -- it was about integrity and honesty. We feel as though, Alexis was dishonest when advertising his apartment and when called on it, he further deceived us and did not responsibly rectify the situation.

Alexis was very responsive and prompt in his communication through Airbnb and the photos of his apartment were nice, but our experience was terrible and we would not recommend the apartment to anyone.
