Two bedrooms, one with the sea view, behind the big building on the main road (thus avoiding traffic noise) and only a few steps away from Banje Beach overlooking the Old town. Take a 5 minute walk to explore the eternal beauty of Dubrovnik.
Our apartment location has the best of both worlds - 2 minute walk to the beach, 5 minute walk to the Old Town!
The two bedrooms Apartment makes the first floor of my semi-detached house which is situated behind the wide building facing the street above the Main Dubrovnik Beach. It has an excellent location, in Ploče area, close to Hotel Excelsior and 5 minutes walk from the Old Town. Banje Beach are 2 minutes away from the flat, 30 metres descending the stairs. To reach the main road which leads to the Old Town, Banje Beach, markets, etc there is only 65 stairs from the apartment.
The Apartment is categorized with 3* and can accommodate 4 persons. There is also a fifth bed (FREE OF CHARGE) - a spare bed for 1 child or an adult can use it too if it satisfies him/her - width: 80cm, length: 190cm, height: 33cm. The apartment has 56m2 with air-conditioning, two bedroom (one with two single beds - each bed is 110x200cm wide, other with a double bed 160cmx200cm)), TV set, kitchen (with electric oven and all that you need for cooking), dining area with a table and 4 chairs. The bathroom has a tub, shower, washing machine. The toilet is in a separate room. Both the toilet and the bathroom have a window. From 1st of April, until 1st of November we have Wifi Internet, which is free of charge for you.
Bed linen and towels are provided.
The apartment is newly renovated, with the newest pictures of the kitchen and bathroom coming in May 2015. The apartment previously had a garden but now we have one more apartment called "GREAT GARDEN; BEACH = 2 minutes" which now has the garden. If you are interested in a garden you may take a look and take that one, if it is available. https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/5495340
However, this apartment has a small table outside with an umbrella in front of the entrances of the two apartments. Since the other apartment has a big terrace upstairs, this table is only reserved for this apartment as we emphasize here and in person.
The Old Harbour is 10 min walk and from there you can take a boat to the Island of Lokrum (every half an hour) or go to Elafiti Islands.
If you arrive by plane, take the Airport bus (35kuna) and go to Pile to enter the gate of the Old Town, go through the main street Stradun, and go ahead to the end gate to enter Ploce where you go straight to the Banje Beach to enter the big building with the address: Supilova (FRANA SUPILA) No.21 , 3rd floor, Mr Pero Dangradovic who will take you to the apartment. It is shown in the picture that is a screenshot from (website hidden) Earth.
You do the same if you arrive by bus to the Dubrovnik Main Bus Station (GRUŽ Harbour) from where you take the local bus 1a or 1b to arrive to Pile, or if you wish to walk less with your luggage, you take the local bus No.8 and take off at the next stop after the CABLE CAR STATION (the same place where you will wait for the Airport Bus when you will be departing from Dubrovnik if you are taking a airplane), walk ahead for 3 minutes and descend the stairs of the SUNČANA ULICA (i.e. street) all the way down to enter the big building to arrive to Mr Dangradovic, 3rd floor.
If you arrive by ship, Main Bus Station is in front of the ship (GRUŽ Harbour), and do the same as explained above.
The guests have table and the chairs with the parasol in front of entrance to the apartment.
Interaction with Guests
If the guests wish, I give them information about the town and the neighborhood and answer to whatever interests them. Most important for us is that the guests depart satisfied wishing to come back!
Guests should arrive from 14.00 till 22.00 (only in exceptional cases they may arrive earlier and later than these but should inform me at least 3 days in advance).
Guests should leave the apartment no later than 10 a.m.
Guests should keep the noise down after 10 pm because there is a lot of people living around.
Pets are not allowed. Smoking is allowed in front of the apartment, on the terrace.
The air condition device should be turned off while guests are absent from the apartment and the windows closed when they use it. The guests should take care not to enter the apartment with the sand and small pebbles from the beach.
1.Please do not leave crumbs or food on the table or on the floor because it will attract ants. Take away garbage bags in a dust bin 50 metres away from the apartment on the road towards the Old Town, on your right hand side.
2.If you wish to have hot water in the bathroom please TURN ON the switch for BOILER where the switch for light is, outside the bathroom door. (Do not turn on the switch for heating, please!)
Our host was out of town when we arrived but she made provisions for a neighbor to meet us. The apartment was well furnished with enough linens and cooking utensils for our use. It was also very clean. The host checked with us daily to see if we needed anything. The beds in the second bedroom are a little short for a tall person, but there is a king sized bed in the other room. The location of this apartment is excellent, across the street from the beach and 10 minutes from the city gate. This is an older building so be aware of that and be prepared to climb 2 stories worth of stairs. The garden is lovely.
Dear Karen, I am very happy that you had a good time! Feel free to come again! Regarding the "older building", in my opinion what makes Dubrovnik the pearl of the Adriatic coast is its old architecture, old buildings, old fortification. There are a lot of new buildings in Zagreb but that does not make it a tourist destination. On the other hand, this winter (phone number hidden), I will be renovating the whole first floor so this older building will get a new interior and new facade while still keeping the authentic Dubrovnik touch. As you can see in the description of the apartment, to reach the main road that leads to the Old Town, Banje Beach, markets, etc there are only 65 stairs from the apartment. I found that to be an advantage not a disadvantage because Dubrovnik is a on a hilly terrain. To get anywhere, to the beach, market, Old Town, Cable Car, etc., you will always have stairs in Dubrovnik. If you are not lucky you can get an apartment which is in the 10th row of houses up the hill and still pay the same price as mine. Luckily, my apartments are in the second row of houses.
The apartment was exactly as described and in such a perfect location, just a few minutes walk from the Old Town. Plus you can hear the waves of the sea in the bedrooms! Bliss. Eleonora was so kind, helpful and quick answering any questions.
Very welcoming. Description accurate. Position ideal being close to beach and old town
The perfect location to explore Dubrovnik and relax at "home" in the evenings. Eleonora explained very well how to get to the place and where to pick up the keys. Thank you everyone for the friendly welcome and help during our stay. A minor technical problem (blown light bulb) was immediately repaired.
The apartment is in the rear building of an old house just a few steps outside the old city wall. During the night, the distant sounds of the breakwaters from the beach underneath were a beautiful melody to our dreams. (For some reason, the discotheque was not open on all nights, but even if it is, the noise is not too disturbing. It's perfectly okay if you have the windows closed, but make sure to open them in the early morning at the latest to enjoy the breakwater sounds.)
The absolute highlight of Eleonora's apartment is the huge terrace, which is shown in the picture. Spending the evenings there with a bottle of beautiful red wine from the nearby supermarket, reviewing the day's "adventures" was really a treat.
Thank you Eleonora, we definitely recommend visiting Dubrovnik and staying at this place!
We had a wonderful holiday in Dubrovnik! Eleonora's instructions about how to get to the apartment were very helpful and the arrangements to get the keys went very smoothly. The apartment was great, very clean and exactly as described... in particular it was wonderful to sit on the terrace in the warm evenings. The beds were very comfortable and we felt completely at home in the apartment. The location was brilliant, right next to the beach and very close to the old town....perfect for sightseeing and going out in the evenings for dinner. Our stay in Dubrovnik was really enhanced by having the apartment to come back to at the end of the day and we wished we could have stayed longer! Thanks to Eleonora for all her prompt and informative emails and efficient organisation. We have no hesitation in recommending this apartment and hopefully we will return again!
Saimme henkilökohtaisen ohjauksen asuntoon joka oli kotoisa ja vastasi odotuksia. Sijainti oli erinomainen . Kiitos erityisesti kahvinkeittimestä jota ei useinkaan ole tarjolla. Voimme suositella.
cozy apartment with cute elevated garden in an awesome location---super close to the beach and a leisurely walk to the old town. eleonora was easy to contact and was very helpful. our flight to dubrovnik was delayed, which resulted in a late arrival, but she was very understanding. happy to recommend her place to other people :)

I live in Zagreb with my son Stefan and the two of us are responsible for communicating and coordinating with our guests via Airbnb, our mail or mobile phone. Our two assistants Mirjana Đangradović and her husband Pero Đangradović live in Dubrovnik whose home is in the large building in front of our house. They are the ones who welcome guests and lead them to the apartment. Since they are also neighbors to the apartments they can help in person and in a short notice. Mirjana Đangradović is also in charge of cleaning the apartments and preparing them for the guests. Her husband Pero Đangradović takes care of the gardens and is a handyman who can repair things if necessary.
The job of four of us is to ensure that our guests have a great stay in Dubrovnik, so if you need anything feel free to contact me via Airbnb, my mail or mobile phone (my number starts with +385 98). If you can not reach me at the moment you can also call my son via his mobile phone (his number starts with +385 91). And of course you can always knock on the door of family Đangradović, they will be happy to help you.
I am a translator/interpreter of the English and Italian language.
I like to travel, and I travel whenever and wherever I can. My son is a law student. We have been renovating our house in Dubrovnik thus having 4 apartments to rent. I enjoy being a host communicating with people from all over the world!
