The space
Guests will have access to an entire three bedroom house and a spacious outdoor living space. Your host lives in an adjoining home so you are never left out in the woods if anything should arise during your stay. Easy access to I-70 provides the best of both worlds as you enter rural western Maryland and embrace her many opportunities. Plenty of parking is available on the seven-acre property so bring your bikes, boats, jet skis or whatever makes for your perfect get-a-way. As our name may suggest Whitetail Ski Resort is a popular destination from December through February, weather permitting, for the avid boarder or skier. Tubing is also available for the entire family.
**The entire property (inside and outside) is smoke/vaping and drug free. This include weed, cigarettes, vapes, etc. The pool does not have a lifeguard and all guests swim at their own risk - we also require all children to be supervised by an adult at all time. We also ask guests to drink responsibly. For other house rules, please view that section of the listing.**

Whether you are a one-night-stay guest or are here for a week you can increase the daily guest number to 25 on a day/date of your choice. An additional fee ($150 for guests staying one night or a discounted rate of $100 for guests staying more than one night + taxes/airbnb fees) will cover the cost of the additional daily guests AND give you an earlier check-in time and an extended check-out time. Each request will adjust these times based on your specific needs and availability of the property.
Note, all house rules still apply to larger gatherings (respectful of property, no excessive drinking, no drugs, no smoking etc.)

Surrounded by Maryland State and Federal land conservation properties and park systems this rural setting is definitely a step away from urban and suburban lifestyles. Potomac River boating access is available at multiple locations within a few miles of this property. Both hiking and biking opportunities are provided by the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal National Historical Park and the Western Maryland Rail Trail; both within a two mile radius of Whitetail Meadows Guest House. Maryland Department of Natural Resources provides ample opportunities for boating, fishing, hiking, biking, camping and picnicking at Fort Frederick State Park. Fort Frederick encapsulates American history from the colonial period to the present and is one of the largest fortifications built by English colonists in North America. Just as our name would suggest, the native wildlife is vast. Whitetail Deer move on and off the property throughout the day and make their home in the adjoining woodlands. For the winter sportsperson Whitetail Ski Resort and Tubing is a short eleven mile drive away. Though secluded, Whitetail Meadows Guest House is only 2 miles away from I-70 exit 12, making it ideal for a getaway that still gives you easy access to surrounding towns and cities.
