Cute little1/bedroom 1/bathroom with refrigerator and wet bar. It isn't huge, but it has a bedroom with a king size bed, a separate living area, a full bathroom with a tub and shower, and a refrigerator/wet bar area with a microwave and a hotplate. There's a backyard area which is shared with the three condo owners in the building.
Golden Gate Park is a half block to the north and Irving Street is a half block to the south. Ocean Beach (with views of the Seal Rock, the Cliff House, surfers and more) is less than two miles to the west and Haight/Ashbury is less than two miles to the East. Great public transit including buses and light rail. Zipcar has cars you can rent by the hour one block away.
There is free street parking, and a lot very close by that is free after 6pm.
There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, especially close is Irving Street and also the 9th Avenue area. This is a fun, safe, convenient place to stay in San Francisco!
Per HOA rules, no loud parties after 10:30pm on weekdays or after midnight on weekends. No smoking
Make sure the front gate closes when you leave. Do not leave the garage door open. The garage door is particularly important. It will not close by itself.
At the top of the stairwells are emergency fire exits. Do not go through those doors unless it is an emergency. One leads to a dangerous roof area and the other leads you onto my private balcony right outside my bedroom window. Also, the roof is not designed for foot traffic and is easily damaged.
Really an awesome place to stay. Convenient transportation, quiet environment and it's very close to the golden gate park and lots of restaurants. Highly recommend it!
Location is great, so close to Golden gate park which we enjoyed a lot.
Many restaurants on Ivring street which is really convenience.
Brian is very helpful, he provided a roll away bed for us to accommodate our three, and also a onsite parking which save me time to looking for parking space there.
Brian and Jean are very nice and helpful. They can give you advices on SF.
The apartment is well located near the Golden Gate Park, many shops and public transportation.
It was a pleasure to stay with them.
Brian was great, and the apartment is very nice. Actually much nicer than the photos might suggest. Parking was a little tricky, but besides that I was very pleased.
Brian & Jeans appartment was perfect for me. A small, but cozy place to sleep, shower, cook // eat and watch TV. When you're in SF, I guess you're also there to exploire the city, and the appartment is a great starting point. Around the corner is a big park, and the seaside is also a stonesthrow away. Irving str., a nice & busy street, is nearby where you find good Asian food // snacks and in general almost everything you need.
I was doing almost everything by bike (thanks again!), but the public transport is everywhere in the neighbourhood.
Brian & Jean are nice and open people, who made me feel very welcome from the beginning. Also they react pretty fast when I had a question. That's always a plus.
My staying in SF was one I will never forget, thanks to the great place, the park, the atmosphere in the city and the kindness of Brian & Jean (and even Ian, who is also a fulltime member of the power group!).
I had a great time at Brian's place. He was very attentive and quick to respond to our needs. Recommended
Brian and Jean were great hosts, always kind and helpful and responded to every request. The unit, a 1BR/1 bath, is *much* nicer than any of the bunk beds or shared couches listed. It's close to Golden Gate Park, public transit, and local food markets/restaurants. There was occasional noise from the neighbors, which Brian deal with, but you'd expect that in any big city. Great neighborhood with easy access to the rest of the city via public transit.
