Mixed review at 3.5. Spacious, very comfortable, many amenities (and we paid for them) but there were also problems. Air conditioning did not work properly. Yes it was a heat wave, but not the problem. Upon arrival A/C not working. Called the go to person-who was also the cleaner-she said she would call someone. Specifically asked that we be called right back with info, but had to call her back ourselves two hrs later. Demanded to talk w/ owner's father Joe who was very helpful, but ultimately we did not have A/C for 6 of 12 vacation days, bought two fans to help sleep & spent a lot of time on the phone at our international cost. Joe sent over handy man, but his resetting the unit? resulted in it not working again. Father had us make some changes and that def helped but it went out again. No repair available until 2 days before departure and we had to cancel because we could not be there between 3-5p.m. that day.
Cleaning fee of $180 but all the tile floors throughout the unit were very dirty. The six of us had black feet every night. Three mops in the garage, but no way to even wring them out-washed floors anyway-made my husband squeeze by hand every rinse. Small amount, but still mold in master bath shower and bar holding the showerhead fell off every time it was moved.
The master suite was excellent-bed comfortable, very nice walk in closet, etc. but as mentioned, not the bathroom. Would hire a new cleaner, I'm not the fussiest person either. I did not use the other full bath so I can't comment. The third bedroom had an air mattress in it. Don't understand why. The second bedroom did not have a tv that was connected to any cable and was a bit misleading in the ad, the couple who stayed in there weren't very happy. They did have hook ups for some sort of electronics but they did not fit iPhone 5 and we hadn't brought any dvd players with us.
The kitchen had everything you could think of. Two ovens, dishwasher and laundry was great. I agree w/ previous tenant; the patio and entrance areas were unkempt, but the mini Weber was easily cleaned and worked great. The sofa was outstanding and a good TV but carpet in LR was extremely worn and stained around sofa.
Bottom line: owner lives in US? and may not see what we saw. Someone with authority needs to be the contact person. With just a little bit of change, I would have been rating this condo a 5. It's a great place, but when you're sleeping in 27C/80F and spending your vacation time fixing things it takes away from the experience.
Our stay at Audrey's townhouse was fantastic. It was clean and tidy. The kitchen was well appointed and there was a full range of amenities in the house eg air con, wifi and electronic entertainment. It was ideally located to trams, trains and shops. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we highly recommend it.
On arrival there was a slight hiccup however Audrey managed to sort it out even though she was in USA at the time.
The accommodation was spacious and clean inside. The amenities were good. The exterior of the property needed tidying up. The back yard was dirty and the barbeque needed a good clean so we did not venture outside.
The apartment is in an excellent location with good transport links.
We would stay there again and recommend it.
Audrey's house has lots of space, has all amenities and it easily accommodates a family. Very friendly support when arriving and departing; we even arrived a day early compared to booking, which was accommodated without a glitch. Location very convenient.

Thanks Audrey for letting us stay in your beautiful town house. I wish i could transport it back to the UK because I loved the layout and the location was so nice and convenient with the trams on the doorstep to take you to the city ad to Kilda.
Audrey was a great person the deal with and I would recommend very strongly to go and stay. My friends said they would like to take their families and stay there when they come back to Melbourne.
