People who visit Alberta's little all-season town of Canmore (pop. 12,000) have big expectations. Once a coal town, Canmore gained notoriety during the 1988 Winter Olympic Games, and it’s been booming ever since as a recreational hot spot.
Just 70 miles from Calgary, Canmore is nestled in Alberta's Bow Valley, surrounded by mountains and wildlife. It's the perfect locale for fishing, climbing, canoeing, all kinds of winter sports, and more. Banff National Park is approximately 7.5 miles from your resort, and world-famous Lake Louise is a little more than an hour's drive away.
If you want to take it easy, take a stroll through the quaint town. Its main street is home to galleries where painters, quilters, stained-glass artisans, and blacksmiths can be found at work. Or just relax in one of Canmore's many charming pubs or restaurants near your resort. With a little luck, you may even see a Hollywood film being shot here.
A Passport or Enhanced ID is needed for entry into Canada.

More than 2,500 square miles of mountains, glaciers, forests, valleys, meadows, rivers, and gorgeous Lake Louise make Canada's first national park one of the world's top destinations. The Columbia Icefield, about 210 kilometers from Canmore along the scenic Icefields Parkway, is one of the largest blocks of ice and snow south of the Arctic Circle. It rests on the boundary between Banff and Jasper National Parks, a 325-square-kilometer family of eight major glaciers, all visible from Icefields Parkway.

Respect both the property and management.
This was a room in a hotel managed by Marriott. The receptionist was very nice, gave us extra towels for the hot tub and extra blankets for the pull-out. We did not use the playroom but we appreciated the big viewing chairs for the evening video, and the well-kept pool table. Amenities were excellent, overall. Room was small and entirely different from the ones in the pictures. Very few of the rooms would have the design of the rooms in the pictures in AirBnB.
Rey is a great host. He is quick to respond to questions and provided all the info needed for a very smooth check in. The place is great with a very nice room and kitchen and great pool. Looking forward to coming back.
We had a great stay. Rey was always very prompt and detailed in answering any questions or providing info that we requested. Overall, a great first experience with airbnb, we would definitely stay at Rey's again!
Great location, great accommodation, free movie rental. Highly recommended.
Our 3rd time staying! Will keep going the perfect place for a nice easy holiday! The staff are great & helpful! The space perfect!
The suit is good for family, we can cook in the room, my parents really like it!
We had a great time at the condo. Nothing was amiss and everything was very neat and comfortable. In addition, Rey stayed in touch with us by email to ensure we had the internet access and easy check in.
