The Space

This lovely character home is located in central Wolseley - a fantastic Winnipeg neighbourhood known for its lovely turn-of-the-century houses, great pedestrian vibe, and many neighbourhood shops, bakeries, and restaurants. It's a 5 minute walk from Portage Avenue, which has many main bus routes, and is only about a 10 minute drive from the airport (25 minute bus ride).

This house itself is a 2 1/2 story, 2600 sq ft. house, with three private bedrooms, a 1/2 bathroom on the first floor, and a full bathroom on the second floor (shared). There is no bathroom on the third floor.

The main floor has the following shared rooms: a spacious kitchen that guests are welcome to use, a sunny dining room, a bathroom, a living room, and a large deck. The second floor has a shared den, sun room (perfect on summer evenings), and shared full bathroom.

There are typically two rooms being used for AirBnB guests. Both rooms are very spacious. One room has a queen bed, a twin bed, a desk and a dresser. The second has a queen bed, a desk, a TV, and a recliner. These rooms are both on the third floor of the house. If needed, a third room on the second floor may be used. This room has a queen bed, a desk, and a dresser. This house also has wireless internet and laundry facilities.

In the morning, all the fixings for 'continental' breakfast are provided, so you can start your explorations of Winnipeg on a full stomach!

As fellow travelers, we know what it's like to be away from home, and we try to make our home comfortable and welcoming for guests while they're here.

Here are some little gems you may not have heard of in Winnipeg but will definitely love:
-The Exchange District (historical neighbourhood north of downtown; it's full of great historical buildings, amazing restaurants, and neat galleries)
-The West End Cultural Center (a-MA-zing concerts held here each week)
-The St. Norbert Farmer's Market
-Outdoor concerts at Old Market Square
-Great restaurants: Spicy Noodle House, The Underground Cafe, Mondragon, and Stellas
-Great pubs: The King's Head, The Toad in the Hole
-Great shops: Sew Dandee and Out of the Blue (Osborne Village), The Haberdashery and Cake (the Exchange District)

  • It was one of our best stays in Canada. Kaleigh and Nick are a very kind couple we'd liked to talk with and share our experiences. We had no problems to feel at home away frome home. In the kitchen we've found everything we needed for breakfast and we could their kitchen as well. The room is so lovely and spacious and Kaleigh collected some useful stuff for tourists and even created maps what you can find where near their home. Over this their place is very well located in Winnipeg in a nice and quiet neighborhood. We wouldn't hesitate to stay with them again. Thanks guys!

  • Kaleigh and Nick were adorable hosts, making sure I got in safe when my train was late and being very helpful and accomodating in general. Their house is a historic gem and the room comfy and a great home away from home.

  • I had an amazing time at Kaleigh's! Winnipeg is a nice quiet city to visit, and if it is on your itinerary, stay with Kaleigh! It's a fairly lengthy stroll to the city centre (if you don't like walking that is) it's about 30-40 mins but there is a variety of buses. Kaleigh and Nick were super friendly and made me feel at home right away. And the house was clean and beautiful. Nice to come back to somewhere warm and inviting.

  • I had a pleasant stay at this lovely old house in Winnipeg when there for work recently. I shared the house with 3 other Air BnB guests. It was adequate and affordable. I would have appreciated a few simple extras, and have offered that feedback to the hosts directly.

  • My family came into town for my partner and my's wedding. Kaleigh was very communicative and responsive to my emails. My parents had a great time and the proximity to our house and other amenities was awesome. She made sure my family had a wonderful experience here in Winnipeg and was a great host. I would definitely recommend her!

Hey there- I'm Kaleigh! I live with my partner, Nick, in a large house in a great pedestrian neighbourhood in Winnipeg. We've recently moved in, and we're really enjoying living in the neighbourhood, and hosting guests on AirBnB. A little about us: I am a project manager for programming for skilled immigrants, and I also work as 'English as an Additional Language' teacher at a university in the city (which I love!!). Nick is a treasury analyst for credit unions, and he's also finishing his CFA designation. We both love cycling and other outdoor sports. Nick also is a hockey and rugby player, while I enjoy knitting and reading. We both love to travel, but we also love Winnipeg - it's always fun to share our home with visitors, because it vicariously combines both of these interests! That being said, we are both quite busy, so we're not home a whole lot! Happy travels, and we hope to meet you soon!
