Our stay at Zambrini house was amazing! The house we lived in the Barrio (highly secured and green place) was a real pleasure.
The house is situated outside of the city of Mendoza. The air is fresh and the view on the mountains in amazing. You can easily reach the city by a free bus on the working days. From the city of Mendoza you can take many tours. We highly recommend this guys Aventura Prima Terra (website hidden)
Marisa and her son are really great guys! Marisa helped us with everything we needed. Making assado (barbecue) and drinking wine with family and friends dived us into a home atmosphere.
Would highly recommend Marisa's house to friends!
I spent one week at Marisa's and it was comfortable. I had privacy, but also was able to meet some other traveler's as well. Her home is in a safe neighborhood, but the downside (or upside, depending on what you're looking for) is that it is a little out of town. You must take a bus or cab to come and go to the main centro, which is another cost to consider. The bus is easy and affordable, but you will have to ask Marisa how it works. I also got lost getting to her house as the cab driver dropped me off in front of the neighbor's house. I would ask Marisa to meet you at the gate if you do stay, because it can be confusing, especially if you are alone.
The only other thing that I think Marisa could improve is the kitchen and breakfast offerings. For example, hot coffee ready in the morning and having enough pots and pans available to cook eggs or something more substantial for breakfast, if that is what you prefer.
Overall, it was a good experience and even though my Spanish is not good, Marisa tried to help me and she also worked on her English a bit as well.
I love it! My sister and I had a great time by Marisa. She was very friendly and helpful. She organized at last minute for us a visit tour in a Bodega near from Mendoza. She didn't gave up until she has organized something for us and this on christmas time (!).
We were at christmas time in her house and we felt us not as visitors and more like a part of the family.
The house and the rooms were clean, like in the pictures. The house is in a beautyful and safe arrea. You can walk or jogging in the arrea since problem. Its near from the center. It has a public and a private bus (who is free for the residents).
I can recommend it for 100 %!
Marisa is a great person and, along with her son, was very receptive and helpful. More than hosts, they became our friends, and we had a lovely experience in Mendoza. Our Spanish was poor, but they always made an effort to help and we sure learned a lot while there. It is not everyday you have the privilege to live with a Spanish professor :)
Besides, Marisa is always ready to solve any problems you have, in the house or outside, and she has given us great recommendations of places to visit.
I totally recommend living in her house to have a truly Argentinian experience!
