ABOUT THE APARTMENT
Air conditioned Studio apartment in the heart of North Beach’s Chinatown along the famous Grant Avenue; a few minute walk to many famous San Francisco landmarks including: Chinatown, Jack Kerouc Alley, Coit Tower, Little Italy, Washington Square Park, Fisherman's Wharf, Lombard Street, Ghiradelli Square, Marina etc. The Cable car stop just a few meters away from the entrance with the Cable Car Museum a five minute walk away and 10 minutes walk to Fisherman's Wharf. A $2 fare will have the street cars take you along the Embarcadero and Ferry Building, cruising along Market Street all the way out to the Castro area. Bike rental shops are abundant, not to mention tons of great restaurants, bars and cafes, parks and other amenities.
Seconds away from Cafe Vesuvio, amazing Sam's Burgers is across the street (Anthony Bourdain say's it's top 3 in USA, I recommend you order it done Medium with everything on it!) You can eat at the stinking rose, get drinks at Comstock, walk across the corner and watch world class jazz at Saloon, have late night dim sum or pho at King of Thai and even perform karaoke with locals til 2:30am, all in a night of fun. The possibilities are endless being in the center of North Beach and Chinatown, you'll never run out of things to do, whether hiking up Coit Tower or cruising on a bike to Washington Square park for some Tony's pizza or luxurious sun soaking weather.
YOUR OWN SPACE
You have the entire studio to yourself, including a kitchen with a stove and your own bathroom with strong and hot water pressure or you can soak in the tub. The walls are decorated by my own traditional artwork, photos, paintings and some fun posters. Your QUEEN BED is extra comfy with a luxurious 900 Pocket coil orthopedic mattress with a 3" thick Tempurpedic memory foam top, purchased in June 2013 and is 15" tall equivalent to the Simmons Beauty Rest Black with Egyptian cotton sheets covered in 4 Hilton hotel style pillows.
This is a very comfortable bed.
There is also a pure cotton towels for the bathroom and a hair dryer as well as toiletries available. Equipped with a built in wall heater and a new window air conditioner that is powerful and quiet.
There is easy access to the rooftop with stunning views of the surrounding areas including the bay bridge. There is also coin operated laundry with a washer/dryer on each floor of the building.
I also stock my fridge with food for breakfast when requested: Eggs, Milk, Cereals, Oatmeal, pancake mix etc. If you want something else, just ask. I usually leave a bottle of wine if you're staying more than a few nights too.
TRANSPORTATION FROM SFO/OAK
If you’re traveling lightly, taking the BART train is convenient and leaves directly from SFO Airport.
I would hesitate in recommending taking a shuttle van since they prioritize downtown hotels then the Fishermans Wharf hotels before driving passengers to residential addresses. This can be a tedious and tiring experience after a long journey.
Taxis from SFO costs around $45 to $65 and town car limousine service hover around $100 each way.
When returning to the airport, the best option is to download on your smartphone or iphone the Lyft or Uberx applications and use them to take you to the airport. It is a rideshare service and considerably cheaper at $35-$45 each way.
Transportation from Oakland Airport is comparable in services and prices.
San Francisco, especially North Beach is a pedestrian-friendly place that caters to public transportation and walking. Parking is usually expensive and difficult to find. Unless you plan to arrive by car, or take side trips out of town (ie: Napa Valley, Palo Alto), I recommend not having a car here. There are several 2 hour parking spots though meters are most prevalent. Weekends it can difficult to find a place to park on the street. Several secure garages close by within 2 blocks. The nearest is at Kearny and Mason st, about two block away with $20max rates. Another 4blocks away offers rates of $10 Early Bird (in by 10 am out by 7 pm), $20 max.
I am a technology entrepreneur that works with startups, an avid traveler, and a fitness enthusiast. I’ve been living on/off in the bay area for many years. I’m happy to give recommendations for local businesses.
You will have access to the entire apartment, the laundry room, the rooftop via the hallway stairs, and of course the city!

A profile on AirBnB would be very helpful. If not, please email me with a short description of yourself and any questions you may have regarding your stay.
We had a great stay at Timur's place. The location was perfect, right in the middle of everything. We were able to take the cable car to fisher and warth and the bus over to the golden state park (with a lot of help from the Rover app). There was a parking garage two blocks away so we never had to worry about street parking. Great place to stay if you're planning to spend your time exploring the city.
Timur communicated well in advance of the booking and ensured that a friend was able to meet me to provide a key. A flight delay and some communication difficulties on the day were resolved and Timur's representative was friendly and helpful. The accommodation was modest but clean and well-presented, with a very comfortable bed. The location was excellent - in the middle of bustling Chinatown and close to North Beach and its excellent restaurants and shops.
It was a great space! Very clean and tidy. The bed was extremely comfortable. It was a bit high though, and I was a bit injured so getting into the bed would have been easier with a little step stool. Great location and easy to navigate around. Really liked the little book with no -tourist guide. The white board with all of the instructions was very helpful and a great way to help us navigate through staying at your place.
The apartment was a great location for easy access to San Francisco, right in the heart of Chinatown, just a couple of blocks from Little Italy and the trolley. The apartment was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable.
Timur was a great host and very accommodating with our last minute booking! The room was great, not huge but bigger than a hotel room with the bonus of a kitchen and beautiful rooftop views. The neighborhood is a busy part of Chinatown and seriously easy walking distance to great food and all the tourist attractions. It was clean, surprisingly quiet given the action just outside the front door, and having Chromecast made it incredibly easy to stream Netflix after a long day.
Thanks Timur for the heads up about the $5 inner SF Uber deal!
We had a great stay!
Timur was a great host, and was kind enough to make an exception and allow me to check in later in Friday afternoon. The apartment has everything a traveler would need to enjoy the city. It's located right in the center of things, and I was able to enjoy the whole city from Timur's "base camp". I also really appreciated his recommendations for restaurants and bars in the area.
Timur's place was as great as it was described by the previous tenants. It's perfectly-situated right at the heart of San Francisco's major attractions. The apartment itself is very well-kept. Timur is also a gracious host, cool and vibrant. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends.
