In the forests of the Tuscan/Marche Appenines, deep in the heart of Italy, and just 8 km from the birthplace of Piero della Francesca was born the charming farmhouse 'Alla Battuta'. An 18th century building with much more ancient origins, it has been inhabited by the same family for generation after generation.
Its charm is not only in the beautiful wild landscape typical of the Apennines, but in its strategic location that allows you to visit beautiful places rich in history, culture and art in central Italy. We are indeed at the crossroads between Tuscany, Umbria , Marche and Emilia Romagna.
No less important are the riding school located a few kilometers from the house, the lakes for fishing, the river Tiber, and the many excellent Tuscan restaurants, renowned for their ability to prepare typical gastronomic specialties.
For lovers of trekking there are CAI (Club Alpino Italiano) signed pathways, and a few kilometres away, the Great Apennine Excursion.
In addition, La Montagna, the village in which 'Alla Battuta' is situated, is crossed by the Franciscan Way, an ancient pilgrim road running from Verna (AR) to Poggio Bustone (RI).
