Welcome to Hong Kong, a buzzing metropolis by day and a neon galaxy by night. There is so much to do and explore and no better place to do it from than Wanchai.
It is the perfect location for you no mater why you have come to Hong Kong.
My apartment is cozy and well equipped with everything you'll need: soft sheets, fluffy towels, a mini kitchen, bathroom, TV, WiFi, guidebooks, and character. It is ideal for an individual or couple.
Smack in the middle of Hong Kong's shopping and eating centre, our apartment is a fantastic place from which to base yourself during your trip to Hong Kong.
My wife and I had a fun time preparing the apartment for your arrival and we have tried our best to anticipate what you will need during your trip. We are available to help you make the most of your stay!
Did I mention it is in a great location? It's only a:
800 meter walk to the Convention Center
200 meter walk to the MTR (HK's subway system)
900 meter walk to the famous Star Ferry and
right on the HK Tram line
Note that the nightly price shown up there doesn't include the one time cleaning fee (I care about cleanliness so I hire a pro) and Airbnb's booking fee. Input your dates and click the 'book it' button to get the total cost of your stay. Ask if you have any questions. :)
In the studio bedroom/living room you'll find:
a double bed with a brand new very comfortable mattress (a little smaller than doubles in the West, it is 4' x 6'/180cm X 120cm)
a TV (local and international channels - though hopefully you'll be too busy exploring the neighborhood to use it :)
free WiFi (super fast fiber optic network)
a quiet air conditioner
a small space heater
In the Kitchenette you'll find:
a Mini fridge
an electric kettle
coffees, teas, snacks and drinks
beer and wine
a washing machine
In the Bathroom you'll find:
a hair dryer
220 volt outlets
a plug adapter for your gadgets (not a voltage converter)
Interaction with Guests
The studio space is private– everything in the pictures is yours and yours alone. :-)
I'm happy to give recommendations for places to visit and local restaurants.
Causeway Bay and Wanchai are the heart of Hong Kong's consumer culture. Every square inch is filled with shopping malls, department stores, boutiques, market stalls, hole in the wall cafés, international restaurants and banquet halls.
Within walking distance of the apartment, you'll find almost every type of cuisine on the planet as well as the HK must try's: dim sum, roast meats, noodles and congee, cha chan teng (a unique fusion of Chinese/Western food), and snacks and desserts.
If shopping is your thing, you'll find the whole range: From bargains and nicknacks at the Jardine's Crescent street market and Spring Garden Lane, to affordable youth fashion boutiques in Island Beverly Centre, to the tech heaven of the Wanchai Computer Centre, to mid-priced and luxury goods in SOGO and Hysan Place, to the up market fashions found in Lee Gardens, Times Square and Fashion Walk.
You are also right next to Happy Valley, where you can enjoy a beer and watch a horse race on most Wednesdays.
It couldn't be easier to get to the apartment from the airport. The A11 bus picks you up at the airport and drops you off just downstairs from the apartment, and gives you great views of the city as you come into town. You can also get to the apartment by Airport Express (high speed train) and taxi.
The apartment is just a 3 minute walk from Wanchai MTR station (our subway system) and is serviced by Hong Kong's classic tramways and many bus lines. The famous Star Ferry is also just a short walk away.

Check in is after 2pm and check out is before 12 noon. I'm happy to accommodate early check in and late check out as long as I don't have guests arriving/departing on the same days.
Have fun, explore the city, eat shop and live life to the fullest.

Absolutely no smoking in the apartment.
Try not to forget anything when you leave.
We loved the location-close to the MTR. The apartment was spotless and quiet. We highly recommend Alex's Hong Kong getaway.
Alex was a great host! We absolutely loved the apartment - right in the hub of Wan Chai and the perfect location for our amazing trip to Hong Kong. Thank you Alex for your fab instructions and for making our stay so great! We shall be back next year!
Alex was very inviting, and quick to respond to all of my questions. He checked in with me before the booking to make sure I had all of the information available and to answer any questions. His instructions were accurate and extremely useful. The studio, while small, was perfect for my needs and quite comfortable. I was in town for a week on business, and the location was perfect for me. Walking distance to the Expo center, and very close to the Wan Chai station which made getting around Hong Kong a breeze. The only downside was some construction across the street that started fairly early, but this was not Alex's fault and some ear plugs took care of the problem! The space was very clean, and I had some wi-fi problems the first night but Alex helped me to fix it immediately and I was up and running the next day.
The studio is very comfortable, and I would definitely stay here again if I am ever in Hong Kong.
The room was small of course, that's a given in this region. But what I appreciated about this listing were some of the conveniences that can be hard to come by when flat hopping around Asia: human-sized towels, a soft and cozy bed and an effective air conditioner. The room is bright, clean and modern and appears as listed. It's located close to transit and only one stop away from Causeway Bay. Alex was kind enough to provide a mini-fridge of cold drinks and a little coffee/tea bar.
Alex was also a great host. He provided detailed instructions of several simple routes from the airport and even included pictures of the street which is immensely helpful when navigating a foreign city. Booking, checking in and out all went smoothly. Thanks Alex!
appartment has a great view right in the center of wan chai. tram is just downstairs, lots of places to eat, exhibit center 10mins by foot. apt was clean, well equipped, enough space for two. the descriptions were short, but right on point. didnt meet alex in person, but he seemed to be there in case. recommended
This place is great and I would definitely come back! You can't beat the location - its so convenient for exploring HK, right by the Wan Chai metro stop, so many cafes and restaurants nearby.... I enjoyed my stay. Alex is a great host - very professional, responsive and everything you see in the apartment profile online is there in real life. He even had a hair dryer for me to use! I would recommend this place to anyone visiting HK as a single or couple, if they are looking for a good staging area to use for exploring the city.
Amazing location, right in the heart of all the action and so easy to get around all of Hong Kong with the MTR only a short walk away. Alex was incredible with his communication from the outset and the information he provided and was excellent. He was always quick to respond to any questions we had. It was small, but i would sacrifice that little bit of extra space to be in the same location again. Would certainly recommend staying at his apartment to anyone visiting HK.

I'm from North Carolina, but I've lived in Hong Kong for 11 years.
I love living in and travelling across Asia. You'll usually see me with camera in hand trying to blend in with the local culture, which is difficult for a tall white guy.
But, whether I'm treking across a desert or window shopping on high streets, I always love to meet other like minded free spirits.
My wife and I have really enjoyed preparing our place to be ready for guests. We hope you enjoy it. Please let me know if there is anything special I can prepare for your trip. :-)
As a host, I'll try my best to point out the colorful local scene, and as a guest, I'll I try to leave nothing but good memories.
